As the Product Lead, you will own the execution of Citi Commerce's product roadmap across a defined set of ad and offers capabilities, translating the strategy set by the Head of Product into detailed technical requirements and shipped features. You will be the primary day-to-day connection between the commercial organization and technology teams, ensuring every capability that launches meets commercial and technical standards.
Job Summary
The Product Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for executing against the product roadmap for a defined set of Citi Commerce's ad and offers capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Product, this individual translates the product strategy and commercial requirements into detailed technical specifications, owns the full product lifecycle from requirements through build, testing, and launch, and serves as the primary liaison between the commercial organization and technology teams.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the forefront of Citi's emerging commerce business. The Product Lead will own end-to-end product delivery for their area of the portfolio, manage third-party AdTech and MarTech integrations at a working level, and navigate the governance and compliance processes that bring new products to market within one of the world's most recognized financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute against the product roadmap for an assigned set of ad and offers capabilities, translating priorities set by the Head of Product into detailed delivery plans and ensuring capabilities ship on time and to standard
- Write and own detailed technical requirements and business specifications, translating commercial and advertiser needs into precise, engineering-ready documentation that technology teams can build against
- Serve as the primary liaison between the commercial organization and technology teams, driving alignment on requirements, managing trade-offs, and maintaining momentum through the full product development lifecycle
- Own third-party integrations within the AdTech and MarTech ecosystem at a working level, including DSPs, ad servers, clean rooms, and identity solutions, managing vendor relationships and integration timelines
- Lead product testing and quality assurance, including UAT and performance validation, ensuring all capabilities meet commercial and technical standards before launch
- Serve as the product owner through legal, risk, and regulatory review processes, preparing documentation and driving approvals for new features and launches within the governance framework set by the Head of Product
- Track product and system performance post-launch, identifying issues and optimization opportunities and escalating recommendations to the Head of Product
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of experience in product management within digital advertising, adtech, martech, or commerce media
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising technology stack, including ad serving, targeting, measurement, and delivery systems
- Demonstrated experience writing detailed technical requirements and business specifications, and partnering closely with technology teams through the full product development lifecycle
- Experience managing third-party technology integrations within the advertising ecosystem at a working level, including vendor onboarding and ongoing relationship management
- Experience navigating governance, compliance, and regulatory approval processes within a large or regulated organization
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align commercial and technology teams around shared priorities at a working and mid-senior level
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, comfortable building process and structure where little exists
Preferred
- Experience in commerce media, retail media, or financial services advertising strongly preferred
- Experience with card linked offers or loyalty product capabilities
- Background at a publisher, retail media network, DSP, SSP, or adtech platform
- Experience building or scaling a new ad product or capability from early stage through launch
- Familiarity with clean rooms, identity solutions, attribution platforms, and programmatic infrastructure

- Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
