Job Overview
As a Trade & Working Capital Loans Product Manager, candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap for our Trade & Working Capital Loans business in country. Candidate will work closely with various stakeholders such as Coverage, Sales, Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Accounting and Tax teams to deliver exceptional client experience and drive product adoption. This role requires developing a deep understanding of various Trade & Working Capital Loans products, market landscape, and technology. The role will also be responsible to manage and grow the existing portfolio of clients across key products such as Export Finance & Import Finance. The product manager will also be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the global Product team.
The overall objective of this role is to drive the P&L, increase wallet share and maintain market leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Align on business objectives as part of global strategy and drive Trade & Working Capital Loans portfolio growth and product P&L in the country.
- Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans.
- Digitization initiatives aligning with the client requirement and market ecosystem.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Creates a product vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding road-map to delivery. Work cohesively with all the internal stakeholders including Compliance, legal, operations, risk , business etc. Align with the Global strategy and compliance management.
- Oversee day-to-day product management activities such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
- Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
- Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and address fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of Trade Finance Products preferably Export Loans, Credit Risk, and market ecosystem
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree. Master’s degree preferred
