Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees risk-taking activities and assesses risks and issues independently of the front line units. We establish and maintain the enterprise risk management framework that ensures the ability to consistently identify, measure, monitor, control and report material aggregate risks.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Resource Business Management Expense Senior Lead - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Business Unit Manager based in Mumbai, India. The Risk Chief Administrative Office (CAO) provides support to the Independent Risk organization with a focus on governance, control effectiveness, regulatory engagement, risk communications, financial performance including resource management.
The Organization: The Resource and Business Management, within the COO, has strategic and operational responsibilities to support Citi's Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk organization to achieve its priorities and liaise with HR, Finance, O&T, ESPA and all Risk CROs by managing resources, financials, accountability, business and strategic planning and analysis, resilience, and overall business office management.
The Team: The Risk Business Management Office, within Resource and Business Management, is responsible for cross risk initiatives for Headcount and Financial Planning, Centralized reports, Executive Scorecards, Location Strategy and Site Network, Continuity of Business, Mandatory Absence, and other projects.
The Role: The Business Management Office is seeking an Expense Senior Lead to be responsible for Non-Compensation expense activities, coordination and management, as well as ad hoc analyses that are complementary to the regular Expenses and Analysis processes within the area. The Expense Senior Lead role will also work closely with team peers, Risk Segments teams, Business Execution Leads and our finance partners.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Design and lead non compensation expense analysis and insights.
- Support financial results insights for different areas within Citi’s Chief Risk Officer
- Maintain y update expense related analysis across all lines and risk segments
- Provide recurrent support regarding non compensation expenses.
- Develop presentation material for internal senior leadership.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
The right candidate should have the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can act as SME/guide to other team members.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Bachelor's degree, Masters Optional
- 10+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry
- Experience in financial services preferred.
- Proven track record managing key deliverables with high senior management visibility on time and through strong partnerships across different businesses and functions.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills with prior experience interfacing with Citi Senior Management at the Director and Managing Director level.
Skills:
- Methodical and proactive thinker who is also detail oriented with demonstrated project management skills and the ability to execute across IRM teams with high quality and strict timetables.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data management/ mining.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven time and task management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and promptly.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior management with data and strategic thinking.
- Strong analytical ability
