Job Overview
Team / Role Overview
The Services Credit Consumption team is a newly established horizontal function responsible for transforming how credit is consumed, governed, and reported across Citi's Services division. Operating across five product verticals — Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions (TWCS), Liquidity Management Services (LMS), Investor Services, and Issuer Services — the team provides governance standards, architectural direction, and cross-product coordination that individual product teams cannot provide for themselves.
As Product Specialist, you are the connective tissue of the programme. You will lead business analysis, coordinate and facilitate workshops, drive documentation, produce governance committee reporting, and provide the analytical power
This role is part of a deliberate strategy to embed capabilities close to the teams and systems that the programme serves, and offers direct day-to-day collaboration with colleagues across the Citi Services global network.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements
Lead end-to-end business and benefit analyses across all Services Credit Consumption initiatives, including requirements gathering, current-state process mapping, gap analysis, and future-state design documentation.
Facilitate design workshops with representatives from all five product verticals, capturing outputs with precision, maintaining decision logs, and ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
Document the Target Operating Model (TOM) for Services credit consumption, including roles and responsibilities across the horizontal team and the five product verticals, ensuring alignment with governance and policy frameworks.
Develop and maintain structured programme documentation including process flows, procedure guides, decision papers, and governance artefacts in support of enterprise approval or investment decision processes where appropriate.
Translate and track complex, multi-stakeholder discussions into clear, concise, and actionable documentation suitable for senior leadership review.
Data Analysis & Business Case
Produce and maintain weekly and monthly reporting packs for the Credit Consumption Steering Committee, including credit exposure trends, operational risk event summaries, and programme delivery metrics.
Conduct deep-dive data analysis to support credit risk remediation activities, including portfolio-level bulk actions in credit systems, data integrity investigations, and reconciliation support.
Support the Data & AI Lead in implementing Critical Data Element (CDE) standards and resolving data integrity issues across covered products.
Gather and analyse baseline data to substantiate financial and risk benefits claimed in programme business cases and governance submissions.
Programme Coordination & Oversight
Support the Execution Head with programme tracking, milestone management, dependency mapping, and risk flagging, ensuring the team's delivery commitments remain on the critical path.
Plan and support the execution of system migrations and portfolio-level bulk actions, ensuring these are well-documented, controlled, and validated prior to execution.
Act as the organisational memory of the programme — maintaining living documentation and ensuring the team remains aligned on key decisions, dependencies, and upcoming deadlines.
Support the planning and logistics of governance committee meetings, including preparation of materials, minute-taking, and action tracking.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in business analysis, product operations, or programme management within financial services — ideally within payments, credit risk, treasury, or a related product area.
Demonstrated ability to lead structured requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation for complex, multi-stakeholder programmes.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable working with large datasets to identify trends, produce management reporting, and construct business case modelling. Proficiency in Excel is required; SQL or equivalent analytical tooling is a plus.
Understanding of credit risk, intraday liquidity, or payments operations is highly desirable. Familiarity with credit governance frameworks — including facility management and approval hierarchies — is a significant advantage.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, well-structured documents for senior audiences. Proven ability to synthesise complex discussions into concise, actionable outputs.
Experience planning and facilitating cross-functional workshops, capturing outputs in a structured manner, and managing diverse stakeholder groups to productive outcomes.
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving environment, delivering quality outputs under time pressure without compromising accuracy or rigour.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organisation, collaborating across time zones, cultures, and seniority levels.
Education:
Undergraduate degree required. A master's degree in finance, business, data science, or a related discipline is advantageous.
