Join our Risk Technology team and play a pivotal role in delivering solutions to the Rates XVA Trading desks. The department develops and maintains a comprehensive suite of risk technology solutions supporting the Rates XVA business. This is an exceptional opportunity to broaden your expertise across diverse asset classes within a leading Tier 1 investment bank.
As a Rates XVA Technical Product Owner within the plan team, you will have end-to-end ownership of projects, collaborating directly with stakeholders and developers to drive impactful change. You will be responsible for gathering requirements and implementing technical changes to scripts using Python & SQL. While prior development experience is a plus, a strong desire to enhance your technical skills and a hands-on approach are essential to complement your product ownership expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects, working closely with stakeholders and developers across the program.
Contribute to hands-on development by implementing Python changes to address ongoing front office and support requests.
Drive project delivery by creating and maintaining clear project plans, tracking progress against milestones and proactively managing risks and dependencies.
Elicit, document and communicate clear, concise and accurate business, functional and technical requirements.
Translate complex issues into easily understandable diagrams and requirements, enabling developers to design and implement optimal solutions.
Champion and implement Agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective solution delivery.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance team velocity and overall efficiency.
Engage directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, including trading desk personnel, business managers, quantitative analysts and other technology teams.
Essential Experience/Skills:
4+ years of relevant Product Owner experience.
Hands on experience with Python and SQL queries and a strong interest in developing technical proficiency.
Proven ability to gather, analyse and document detailed requirements.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong consulting and project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to financial products and understanding of trading concepts.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
