Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead / Senior QA Automation Engineer to elevate the quality engineering function across our automation and data-processing platforms. This role is expected to assess current processes, design and implement automation frameworks, and establish systematic, scalable QA practices. Working closely with BAs, developers, and leadership, this is a hands-on technical leadership role for a self-motivated professional who takes full ownership of quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable Selenium-based automation frameworks; Perform and oversee end-to-end QA validation — functional, regression, integration, and ETL-focused testing, including data flow validation and expected-vs-actual reconciliation
Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for data pipelines, ETL workflows, automation solutions, and dashboard outputs.
Develop and execute automated validation suites for server-side components, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database layers using SQL and NoSQL queries.
UI and API testing: Validate web UI behavior and backend services (REST/JSON, etc.), including contract validation, error handling, and negative testing; ensure testability and observability with engineering partners.
Performance testing: Plan and execute load, stress, and endurance testing; analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and partner with engineering on remediation and re-testing.
Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, test estimation, regression testing, test automation development, and other project artifacts.
Review BRDs and expected outputs (EVs - Expected Values) provided by BAs and drive translation into scalable, reusable test scenarios.
Validate data integrity and consistency in Oracle and SQL-based data stores through complex query-based checks and automated data layer testing.
Validate Tableau dashboard outputs for accuracy, aggregation correctness, and alignment with source data.
Required Qualifications
5-10 years of QA experience with strong emphasis on test automation, ETL/data quality, and enterprise automation platforms.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (for example, Python, Pytest, Robot Framework, PowerShell, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience testing platforms such as Xceptor, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent.
Strong, hands-on experience with Selenium (automation design, framework patterns, and maintenance) and complementary manual testing expertise.
Proven experience in UI testing for modern web applications and API testing for service-based architecture.
Hands-on experience executing performance testing and translating findings into actionable engineering improvements.
Strong SQL and Oracle skills for complex data validation, reconciliation, and automated query-based testing.
Ability to interpret Excel-based BRDs/EVs and perform expected-vs-actual data comparisons on a scale.
Experience using Jira for defect management, test tracking, and workflow governance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and data lake or data warehouse environments.
Experience validating BI/dashboard outputs (for example, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and DevOps-integrated QA practices.
Familiarity with common output formats and validation methods (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON)
