The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive technology planning.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Role within Helios Foundational Business Analysis team: As an IT Business Lead Analyst, you will be a core part of the Helios Foundational Business Analysis team, dedicated to delivering robust and scalable solutions for Helios - Entitlements and Foundational Data Services (LDS) components. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving the design and implementation of critical access control and data management platforms specifically for our Credit Production Application.
Strategic Business & Technical Alignment: Act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, product management, and engineering teams to identify, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for large-scale application, system, and process enhancements within the Credit Production domain. Influence application design and development through deep subject matter expertise and an understanding of software engineering principles.
Entitlements & Access Control Expertise: Lead the analysis, design, and support of sophisticated entitlements and access control solutions for enterprise-grade platforms, with a specific focus on Credit Production Applications. Demonstrate advanced understanding and hands-on experience in implementing and/or supporting secure, scalable access management systems.
Data Management & Database Proficiency: Leverage a strong understanding and hands-on experience with various database technologies to support data-centric initiatives within Credit Production, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and optimal performance within our systems. Design /Define APIs.
Architectural & System Integration Acumen: Possess a comprehensive understanding of core system flows within Credit Production Applications and how they integrate with broader architecture (e.g., microservices) to achieve strategic business objectives. Collaborate with architecture and development teams to define and enforce standards ensuring alignment with architectural blueprints.
Full Lifecycle Participation & Quality Assurance: Engage actively in the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment and post-launch support for Credit Production Applications.
Stakeholder Communication & Risk Management: Proactively communicate project progress, anticipate and mitigate bottlenecks, and manage escalations effectively. Identify, assess, track, and manage issues and risks at multiple levels, particularly as they pertain to Credit Production systems.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize business and technical processes, streamlining workflows and eliminating inefficiencies across architecture, build, delivery, and production operations within the Credit Production environment. Continuously review metrics and seek innovative ways to improve visibility and ensure program alignment with organizational goals.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Contribute to team growth by assisting with training activities and mentoring junior business analysts and team members. Foster an environment of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Governance & Compliance: Act as a steward of sound business practices, assessing risk in decision-making with keen consideration for the firm's reputation. Ensure strict compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to company policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate and manage control issues.
Qualifications:
Experience: 8 plus years of progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or product management roles within a complex enterprise environment, with a strong focus on technical delivery and ideally experience with Credit Production, Lending or similar financial applications.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable hands-on experience with modern application development and database technologies, including a strong command of at least one of the following: Java, Microservices architectures, Oracle SQL/PL SQL.
Architectural Understanding: Solid understanding and practical experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Microservices-based Architecture.
Experience with designing and defining APIs or other integration patterns is highly desirable.
Project Management Methodologies: Proven experience with project management principles, including strong familiarity and practical application of Agile methodologies. Proficient in the use of requirements and issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. Superior diplomatic, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Organizational Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent activities, prioritize effectively, and build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
Self-Motivation & Adaptability: Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of quickly mastering new tasks and technologies.
Resilience: Proven ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and approach work methodically with meticulous attention to detail.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
