The Business Execution Associate role will support business execution related to regulatory, governance, and strategic initiatives across the Banking & International Risk (B&IR) organization. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and a quick learner.

The role provides a unique and selective opportunity to gain broad risk and business skills, as well as direct exposure to Senior Management. The team manages high-impact strategic projects on behalf of the Banking and International Chief Risk Officer (B&IR CRO) across various areas, providing both credit and market risk experience, for a very senior internal business, risk, and external audience. Specifically, a candidate can expect to gain:

Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and/or coordinate special projects on behalf of the BIR CRO CAO team.  The projects span a variety of initiatives, and support senior-level audiences.  Sample projects include:

  • Regulatory request (e.g., KPMG, OCC, FDIC, etc.) of materials and meetings to support BIR CRO on Citi’s target market strategies, actions taken to reduce exposures to high-risk sectors or regions, and risk appetite in emerging markets. E.g., KPMG Monthly meeting,
  • Maintaining awareness of top of current events and trends to assess impact on Citi and its clients (e.g., geopolitical, unrest situations, etc.)
  • Coordinate meetings and preparation for regulators and/or governance reviews (Wholesale Credit Risk Governance and other BIR governance forums) and examine materials for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
  • Interface with global Risk and Business Senior Managers to ensure topics, materials are comprehensive, consistent and following set standards by senior and above governance meetings (BoD, GRMC).

Provide project management support for business execution related to finance, resources management and strategic initiatives

  • Sourcing topics, preparing and distributing monthly newsletters, CAO communications, etc.
  • Support the creation, analysis and submission of management reports to various constituencies within and external to Banking & International Risk (B&IR)
  • Document and establish business requirements, create process documents, and interact with business partners
  • Responsible for Maintaining the B&I Risk Collaborate site strategy
  • Coordinate B&I Risk offsite, travel agendas and support materials

Support Learning and Development Initiatives for B&I Risk by:

  • Support delivery of the B&I Risk Town Hall, Speaking series, VOE, etc.
  • Support coordination and delivery of the B&I Risk Speaker Series sessions with current topics or subject overviews
  • Regularly updating the website with announcements as needed
  • Coordinating social activities for B&I Risk Team across the different locations, e.g., Brown Bag lunches with seniors
  • Complete compliance related activities and reporting (e.g., trainings)


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with minimal supervision and work well as part of a team
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to thoughtfully and succinctly convey information
  • An “entrepreneurial” mindset
  • Willingness to "roll up sleeves" and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to think one or two steps ahead of the assigned task and propose new creative/effective ideas/solutions
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into "user-friendly" language, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient technological skills including Microsoft Outlook Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, nice to have Tableau experience
  • Experience with databases and information management

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
