CoB Country Coordinator
The Continuity of Business (CoB)Country Coordinator supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans across the bank. This role ensures that the bank can effectively respond to business disruptions and maintain essential functions. The CoB Coordinator collaborates with internal departments, risk management teams, IT, and external stakeholders to promote resilience and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
The Continuity of Business (CoB)Country Coordinator supports Citigroup's Continuity of Business (COB) organization within the Enterprise Resileince Organization.
Assist in developing and updating business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all business units.
Coordinate and support business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical processes, recovery objectives, and interdependencies.
Facilitate continuity testing and simulation exercises (e.g., tabletop, failover tests, crisis management exercises. call trees).
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, local regulator) and internal policies.
Track remediation activities and ensure timely closure of business continuity-related risks or gaps.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, including contact lists, recovery procedures, and emergency communication protocols.
Support incident response efforts during actual events, assisting with status reporting and coordination.
Provide training and awareness programs to ensure employees understand continuity responsibilities.
Liaise with IT and third-party vendors to validate infrastructure recovery capabilities.
Prepare reports for senior management and regulators as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), BCI, or DRII preferred.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or related functions within the financial services industry.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to banking and financial institutions.
Skills:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with business continuity software and Microsoft Office tools.
Business knowledge of documentation type and purpose.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Track record as a strong analyst – recognized as able to deliver work in pressured environments.
Hands on approach and able to manage own work load whilst taking direction.
Attention to detail and ability to discuss document and confirm process flows.
Sufficiently experienced to provide feedback for areas of improvement and realign strategy accordingly.
Collaborative approach, must be able to work closely with senior business sponsors and promote consensus decisions that are right for the organization.
Flexibility and Autonomy are essential as some travel and out of hours work may be required.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Qualifications:
5-8 years Experience in Third Party/third party oversight, risk and relationship management.
Experience of technology project management, Data modeling and workflow mapping.
2+ years experience working with internal/external audit/regulatory groups is preferred.
Advanced project management, data analysis and reporting ability; with a good understanding of supporting technologies (applications, reporting tools, and data presentation).
