The successful candidate will serve as a key operational and strategic anchor within the broader Product Management team, coordinating across cross-functional stakeholders and insurance partners to deliver on partner commitments, client value propositions, and business growth objectives. This role demands a balance of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and rigorous operational discipline — ensuring full compliance with internal controls, local privacy laws, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibility Areas
The role spans three core pillars:
General Insurance — Digital & AI — Product strategy, digital channel development, and omni-channel sales execution
Sales & Client Engagement — Lifecycle management, campaign execution, and portfolio growth
Operations, Controls & Reporting — Day-to-day operations, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
Detailed Responsibilities
1. General Insurance — Digital & AI
Product Strategy · Channel Development · Omni-Channel Sales
Formulate and execute business and channel development strategies for General Insurance (GI) products, with a focus on digital and AI-enabled distribution channels.
Collaborate closely with insurance partners to lead end-to-end product and program launches, including customer journey design, incentive programs, and go-to-market execution.
Drive ongoing omni-channel sales initiatives — spanning digital, branch, and advisory touchpoints — to boost sales productivity and ensure seamless operational delivery.
Uphold high sales quality standards in alignment with the Sales Quality Framework; engage proactively with compliance and risk teams to identify and implement continuous improvements.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in unmapped customer segments, and pursue additional appointments from existing mapped segments to expand the insurance portfolio.
Monitor digital channel performance metrics and leverage data analytics and AI insights to optimize product positioning, campaign effectiveness, and customer conversion rates.
2. Sales & Client Engagement
Lifecycle Management · Campaign Execution · Portfolio Growth
Manage the full client lifecycle strategy — from acquisition and onboarding through early engagement and long-term retention — implementing targeted strategies to optimize portfolio performance and profitability.
Assess and synthesize customer, competitor, and industry insights to define strategies that enhance client experience, deepen relationships, and drive sustainable portfolio growth.
Provide strategic recommendations on innovative product promotion, segmentation strategies, and value proposition development tailored to distinct client profiles.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and advisory teams to develop integrated, multi-channel sales campaigns and ensure seamless, on-brand execution across all touchpoints.
Apply subject matter expertise across core marketing disciplines — including client campaign development, product launches, promotional design, and client experience enhancement.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving market conditions to identify emerging business opportunities and continuously refine sales approaches and positioning.
Oversee business financial performance, including identifying revenue opportunities and operational gaps, and developing actionable business strategies supported by effective change management.
Appropriately assess risk in all business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for Citi's reputation and safeguarding clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhering to Policy; applying sound ethical judgment; and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with full transparency.
3. Operations, Controls & Reporting
Day-to-Day Operations · Financial Controls · Regulatory Compliance
Oversee day-to-day operations of the broader Product Management team, ensuring timely delivery of partner commitments and client value propositions.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders — including legal, compliance, risk, finance, and operations — and insurance providers to ensure aligned and efficient execution.
Prepare, review, and validate necessary documentation, checks, and reports for financial and controls reporting, ensuring full adherence to internal policies and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Maintain rigorous standards for data integrity, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness across all product management activities.
Support the implementation of internal control frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and governance standards.
Compliance & Ethical Standards: All activities must be conducted in strict adherence to Citi's internal policies, local privacy laws, and applicable regulatory requirements.
