Job Overview

Citi is looking for a Head of Mortgage Specialist to lead and grow a high-performing mortgage specialist team within its Wealth business, serving clients across the full spectrum — from affluent individuals to ultra-high net worth families and family offices. In this senior leadership role, you will own the end-to-end performance of a multiproduct mortgage sales platform, shaping strategy, managing people, and driving results across multiple channels. This is an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact at one of the world's leading financial institutions, working alongside senior stakeholders across Citigold, Citi Private, and Wealth at Work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mortgage specialist sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets across the full product range, with clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Develop and execute strategies across all mortgage sales channels to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience through a multiproduct platform.
  • Build team capability and sustain performance by improving agent productivity, managing retention, and maintaining the right talent in key roles.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by identifying and activating cross-sell and inbound sales potential at critical client touchpoints.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders to open new deployment opportunities and strengthen the business.
  • Oversee budget management and expense discipline across the team, ensuring sales are generated within agreed cost parameters.
  • Monitor and uphold compliance standards across all client, partner, and regulatory interactions, escalating issues with transparency when required.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to refine risk policies and optimize operational processing costs without compromising service quality.

Required qualifications & skills

  • 10 or more years of product sales experience, with a track record of leading teams and delivering results in a complex, multi-channel environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full scope of people leadership, including performance evaluation, hiring decisions, compensation, and budget oversight.
  • Clear and confident communicator who can represent the business credibly at a senior level, both internally and with external partners.
  • Solid knowledge of general banking operations, with practical experience identifying and converting cross-sell opportunities.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect day-to-day sales activity to broader business and financial outcomes.
  • Experience managing compliance obligations across client, partner, and regulatory relationships in a financial services context.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent university-level qualification.

Beneficial skills & qualifications

  • A Bachelor/ Master's degree in a business, finance, or related discipline.
  • Relevant License required.
  • Familiarity with wealth management products and the client segments served across affluent, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth markets.
  • Experience working across multiple business lines or geographic regions within a large financial institution.

As Head of Mortgage Specialist within our Wealth division, you will operate at the center of a global, performance-driven organization, with access to the full breadth of Citi's capabilities across lending, deposits, and investment solutions.

  • Strategic leadership ownership, with direct accountability for team performance, commercial outcomes, and business direction across a high-profile product area.
  • Exposure to Citi's global wealth platform, spanning Citigold, Citi Private, and Wealth at Work, with the opportunity to shape how mortgage solutions are positioned across the full client continuum.
  • Competitive financial wellbeing package, including compensation structures aligned to senior-level performance and contribution.
  • Access to learning and development resources that support continued growth at a leadership level within a global financial institution.
  • A collaborative, results-focused environment where your decisions have a visible impact on clients, the team, and the wider business.
