AVP, Payment & Debit Product Manager

The Payments market is constantly evolving with new initiatives such as Open Banking, ISO20022 and payments innovations on mobile banking. This role will manage new Payments and Debit Card initiatives, compliance and industry mandates and contribute ideas on Core Payment Products (Domestic & Cross Border) and Debit Card strategy including driving digital adoption and focus on payments related controls.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day product management for Core Payment Products and Debit Card, which includes product delivery, client experience, and client communication
- Plan and manage initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle working with cross-functional project teams within Citi and external partners
- Define product requirements, creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria
- Perform system testing and issue management
- Assist the customer lifecycle strategy from acquisition through early client engagement and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance
- Provide insight and recommendations on innovative Payment and Debit Card product development, segmentation and marketing strategies
- Oversee product financial performance including identifying opportunities and gaps, and developing business strategies
- Work with Operations and Technology with regards to process design and vendor procurement, communicate business plans on marketplace approach
- Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
- Assess risks in business decisions with a focus on protecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policy.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Debit Card or Card related product experience, cross functional experience (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, data analytics)
- Knowledge in payments products including instant payment, Cross-Border payment, digital payment channels, regulatory projects
- Demonstrated experience in driving business innovation, leveraging data to drive product commercialization
- Strong project management skill
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines and adapting swiftly to changes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships across functional lines
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent
