Job Overview
The Senior Engineering Manager Trade Management Equities Acceleration - Director is an Engineering Manager position withing the Markets Operations Technology (MOT) group that will help drive the long-term strategy and execution for the technical transformation of the Securities processing technology stack at Citi. The role will be responsible through the management of a team to help implement and drive an overall effort to transform a large legacy securities processing stack into a modern tech stack that can support high volumes / low latency securities processing and help the business expansion over next several years. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to shape and transform a scalable infrastructure at one of the world’s leading capital markets franchises.
The primary responsibility will be leading the architecture, design, development & delivery and providing Level-3 support for the trade management set of services within the securities processing tech stack that supports Citigroup’s NAM, EMEA and APAC markets operations. Being a senior member of the Securities processing technology team, the Director, will be responsible for structuring and driving the project work forward, managing several teammates, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders on technology and markets ops teams, participating in Business and technology architecture discussions with key stakeholders. Trade management processes is an extremely high velocity and high throughput business-critical function within Markets Ops with multiple business processes, interfaces/dependencies across internal systems and external venues and vendor platforms. This role requires a high degree of depth on the business domain expertise along with technical expertise to formulate robust engineering solutions. As a Senior Application Development manager, the candidate must have a strong emphasis on knowledge and understanding of the securities processing landscape and industry.
Additional expertise and experience in AI Adoption and Agentic AI systems development understanding is a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities
· Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, performance reviews, and career development support.
· System Development and Maintenance: Overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of trade management systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that systems and processes comply with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
