The Role:
The Software Engineering Platform Manager for Case Data Orchestration & Investigations is a senior technology leadership role responsible for directing multiple engineering teams that design, build, and deliver critical enterprise applications in close partnership with the broader Technology organization. This position leads large-scale, complex development initiatives including case data orchestration platforms that automate case investigation workflows and security operations controls built on a modern technology stack spanning .NET Core, Java Spring Boot, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and microservices architecture. The role requires a leader who can translate business and grooming requirements into actionable development plans, ensure on-time and high-quality delivery, and enforce adherence to established architecture, tooling, and safety-and-soundness standards. Beyond technical delivery, this manager exercises strategic influence over budget, resourcing, and planning decisions, while cultivating talent and holding teams accountable to the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
- Attend grooming and requirements sessions and translate business requirements into clear, actionable development plans for engineering teams.
- Lead development efforts for major, large-scale technology projects and ensure on-time, quality delivery of complex solutions.
- Ensure that all solutions follow prescribed architecture standards for tooling. Ensure that all solutions also meet safety-and-soundness requirements.
- Oversee the ongoing management of Case Data Orchestration capabilities that automate large portions of the case investigation process.
- Direct engineering efforts supporting automation of security operations controls and the broader investigation process.
- Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established technology goals.
- Conduct core personnel duties for direct and indirect reports. This includes performance evaluations, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide strategic influence over resources, budget management, and planning. Monitor end results to ensure goals are met.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of applications development concepts and procedures within own area, along with working knowledge of adjacent technology areas, to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure essential development and delivery procedures are followed. Contribute to defining new standards where gaps exist.
- Integrate deep applications development expertise with the overall technology function to achieve established organizational goals.
- Exercise evaluative judgment based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing on both internal and external sources.
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions. Communicate with external parties as necessary.
- Assess risk appropriately in all business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm's reputation. Safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and its assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to internal policy and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices. Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
- Supervise the activity of others and create accountability for those who fail to meet these standards.
Qualifications
- 10+ years' relevant experience in applications development and technology delivery.
- Proven experience in people management, including direct oversight of engineering teams.
- Experience managing global technology teams across multiple locations and time zones.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology projects and complex, multi-team solution delivery.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards for applications development and technology governance.
- Hands-on familiarity with the team's technology stack, including .NET Core, Java Spring Boot, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and microservices architecture.
- Experience or familiarity with case management, case data orchestration, or security operations and investigation platforms preferred.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Master's degree preferred.

$156,160.00 - $234,240.00
