Individuals in the Enterprise Risk Management are entrusted with managing the diverse and collective impact of the bank's risks. This involves identifying and managing enterprise-level and cross-cutting risks, designing scenarios for stress tests, managing climate risk, and safeguarding against reputational risk. This role is integral to the overarching objectives of the bank, as it ensures the bank's operations are within defined risk appetite and helps maintain financial stability. The role provides a comprehensive view of risk management, enabling the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's sustained growth and success. This lead will operate at the intersection of product management, process optimization and technology enablement, and requires high-level strategy and the ability to get into the details of processes, data and tooling to drive meaningful improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into current-state risk appetite related processes and implementation in tooling to identify bottlenecks, redundancies and opportunities for simplification.
  • Recommend enhancements and partner with process SMEs, execution leads, product owners and technology teams to implement enhancements to workflows as needed.
  • Develop deep understanding of key controls with the goal to automate controls.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation. Identify process pain points and technology opportunities.
  • Work with stakeholders and users, to define, track, prioritize and execute against various user needs.
  • Communicate complex risk processes and technology strategies in clear, actionable terms.
  • Create and deliver management level and working group presentations
  • Support user acceptance testing and drive adoption and training. Understand stakeholders and entitlements
  • Connect risk appetite processes with other enterprise risk management processes through tools
  • Drive data discussions, related to risk appetite processes. Manage data concerns and impact on to overall risk appetite program with stakeholders across the firm.
  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of teams and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

    Qualifications

    Education

    Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

    • 6-10 years of experience
    • Prior work experience, preferably related to business analysis and/or strategy consulting
    • Experience in leading key processes and global projects.
    • Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring risk appetite statements, policies, and procedures.
    • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
    • Strong knowledge of risk category and business teams risk management operations.
    • Experience in collaborating with different teams to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Proven experience in dealing with senior management on strategic projects.
    • Proficiency in managing and supporting the delivery of project requirements, administration, and issue resolution.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative techniques and improve processes, including process maps and decision trees
    • Strong leadership skills to drive strategic initiatives and lead global projects.
    • Strong analytical skills for assessing risk profiles and identifying opportunities for process enhancements
    • Project management skills, with the ability to manage and support the delivery of project requirements, administration, and issue resolution.
    • Exceptional critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong ethical and professional standards.

    Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

    $125,760.00 - $188,640.00
