Director, ERM - Stress Testing Result Analytics (Hybrid)
Enterprise Risk Analytics is a part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) organization at Citi, and is, among other commitments, broadly responsible for end-to-end internal stress testing at Citi, including stress testing for both periodic and ad hoc (event-based) stress tests. The Firm-wide stress testing program estimates the Firm’s losses under a number of hypothetical stress scenarios informed by the Firm’s risk identification.
Results Analytics Lead is responsible for the review of results across ERM-owned risk metrics: stress loss, stress loss limits’ utilization, economic capital and risk appetite ratio. This responsibility involves establishing a rigorous process of results’ review across individual risk areas, interpretation of changes in stress loss and other findings, and presentation of results to senior management. The role requires both a deep understanding of risk management across risk categories and strong engagement skills and ability to drive change in large organizations.
The Lead is expected to assume a cross-functional “process owner” role for the review and interpretation of stress testing results, leveraging existing Citi infrastructure to the extent possible and driving updates to models and methodologies across a variety of teams and IT systems. The team will work closely together with other risk management teams representing individual risk types, as well as with Risk Reporting and Data Analysis team.
The team’s primary clients are the Citi CRO office and the Risk Management Executive council, as well as other senior managers within the Firm and external regulatory supervisors; as such, the Lead will be expected to present and discuss his/her analyses with senior Risk managers on a frequent basis.
Finally, the lead will be broadly relied upon to provide subject matter expertise in areas including portfolio stress loss estimation and stress testing generally across a variety of risk stripes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations Research or another quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.), or an undergraduate degree with additional years of relevant experience is required
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, Finance function, relevant front-office/business, or Management Consulting role; must include experience across different asset classes
- Experience in production, development, and implementation of stress testing or similar processes in financial institutions and familiarity with relevant regulatory guidance, including the CCAR/DFAST process is required
- Experience in managing process change in large organizational settings is required. Critical success factors include ability to develop an agenda and influence others to drive its implementation
