Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development. Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems. Lead microservices development projects using Spring, Spring Boot, Java, and J2EE technologies and create scripts using Python. Configure and deploy Spring Boot services using cloud technologies including Docker, OpenShift and Elastic Container Service (ECS). Develop data processing procedures and scripts using Oracle 12c. Prepare functional design and technical design documents. Provide peer code review and ensure application development processes conform with required standards. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation performing application development activities. Five (5) years of experience must include: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including requirement gathering from Business SMEs, performing detailed analysis, development and unit testing, integration, and system testing; Monitoring and controlling all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as providing user and operational support on applications to business users; Utilizing Unix Scripting and Autosys to automate standalone application tasks by managing task/job definitions and scheduling; Utilizing CI/CD, Jenkins, and Bitbucket for version control proficiency including branching and merging strategies to manage code repositories; Designing and developing web applications using Java and Spring Framework for implementing Oracle storage solutions; and Implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with solid principles for scalability and extensibility using Spring Boot, Webservices, and JPA (Java Persistence API). 40 hrs./wk.
