Overview:

Banking as a Service (BaaS) is a key product vertical within Citi Services' Payments organization, offering multiple unique product solutions to support large corporate, FI, NBFI, and e-commerce clients. Payer ID stands as a core offering within BaaS, primarily focused on both domestic and cross-border payment receivables. BaaS / Payer ID Product Management Senior Specialist is a full-time senior-level position is dedicated to the commercialization and growth of BaaS products, specifically Payer ID, across Asia and globally. The role involves product commercialization and developing and executing strategies and tactics to expand market share and maintain a competitive position for this critical offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovative product and solution sets to deliver a superior, client-first experience, leveraging deep pricing and commercialization expertise.
  • Capitalize on E-Commerce growth by positioning BaaS products (for payments and collections) as a key differentiator for Citi Payments Services.
  • Define and execute robust GTM strategies for the launch and global rollout of Payer ID Engine, optimizing solutions with a strong understanding of API, ERP processing, and client engagement.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of and adherence to risk and controls, regulatory requirements (including AML, Compliance, Sanctions, and Legal) across all product services and market expansions. This includes liaising with Line 2 partners to manage product-related risk and control items and demonstrating sound ethical judgment in assessing risk and escalating control issues.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with Sales, Client Engagement, Onboarding, Service, Operations, and Technology to support client requirements, BAU changes, new rollouts, and product initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and analysis of the strategic product roadmap for Payer ID, covering both development and commercialization.
  • Partner with Fintech clients on the design and implementation of essential product features.
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify new revenue streams and segments for BaaS / Payer IDs.
  • Manage day-to-day payment flows via Payer ID, including handling client queries, optimizing client experience, refining communication strategies, and assisting the team in prioritizing, negotiating, and removing obstacles.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in payments or managing payment products.
  • Strong knowledge of payments, sanction screening, AML monitoring processes, and basic technology architecture/systems and APIs.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients and in close consultation with Line 2 partners.
  • Quick Learner. Ability to work unsupervised, adjust priorities quickly, and manage deadlines under pressure.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience .
  • Master’s degree is Good to Have.
