The Change and Engagement Lead (C14) will manage the Cross Technology & Business Enablement (T&BE) Services Change and Engagement team, providing senior leadership across strategic initiatives, events, and engagement programs for Technology and Business Enablement. Impacting 90,000 colleagues globally, this role plays a vital part in supporting change management, fostering cross-functional engagement, and enhancing employee experience across T&BE. Partnering closely with Technology Leadership, HR, ESPA, and other enterprise stakeholders to translate Technology strategy into clear execution, drive colleague engagement, and enable consistent, high-quality delivery across T&BE.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Execution
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership across Technology, using communications and engagement activities to translate strategy into executable projects and plans.
- Lead complex, global, cross-functional strategic initiatives including change management, communication and engagement programs for T&BE.
- Partner closely with executives and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of transformation program outputs and resulting changes, producing digestible communications that demonstrate business benefits.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of strategic communications, change adoption, events, and engagement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to recommend interventions and improve impact.
Events, Engagement & Leadership Forums
- Provide executive oversight, coordination and execution of T&BE Town Halls, MD Forums, Leadership Travel, Third-Party meetings, and Leadership Onsites / Offsites.
- Ensure a cohesive and high-impact engagement approach globally by overseeing the T&BE Voice of Employee governance, action planning and execution partnering with HR.
- Encourage open dialogue through various platforms like town halls, feedback surveys, online forums, and Q&A sessions to foster transparency and engagement.
- Leverage and optimize various digital platforms and tools to drive engagement and communication effectiveness.
People Management & Organizational Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a global team of five direct reports, fostering a high-performance and inclusive environment with a focus on performance and fast-paced execution.
- Drive collaboration across T&BE regions and functions, driving towards a ‘One Citi/One Tech’ culture.
Risk, Control & Governance
- Embed strong risk and control discipline into all activities.
- Ensure compliance with Citi policies and regulatory expectations.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Leadership Expectations
- Lead with purpose and clarity, ensuring alignment to Citi and T&BE priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure successful implementation and execution of change and communication plans.
- Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders and influence without authority.
- Develop and empower diverse talent through coaching, feedback, and succession planning.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and business priorities.
- Model strong risk and control discipline in decision-making.
Critical Competencies & Qualifications:
- 6-10 years' experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives within a large, complex organization, preferably in the financial services or technology sector.
- Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in the successful execution of managing large scale events, engagement activities and leadership forums
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging messages for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and work streams end-to-end, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical mindset, coupled with proficiency in using data analytics tools to monitor and report on engagement and change adoption metrics.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups, including technical and non-technical audiences, across different seniority levels and geographies.
- Extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter.
- Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working, and positive.
- Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools to monitor and report on engagement and change adoption metrics
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
