Role Overview:
Citi’s Privacy and Compliance Services is looking for a candidate to join the Costa Rica Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) Hub QA Function. CBDC is an Enterprise level utility which supports all Citi businesses to comply with bank secrecy, outsourcing, and data privacy requirements governing the movement of data between countries. The ideal candidate will be able to combine analytical skills with business acumen and be able to collaborate across departments, lines of business and different levels of management within Citi.
The Costa Rica CBDC Hub QA Function centralizes the review of cross-border data transfer requirements for 90+ countries in which Citi operates in globally. The reporting line is the CBDC Hub QA Function Lead.
Key Responsibilities Processes and Activities:
Responsibilities include:
- Becoming the subject matter expert on data privacy, outsourcing and banking laws governing the transfer of data from one country to another for assigned countries.
- Serving as a liaison to country Compliance to ensure requirements for review and clearance of initiatives are current.
- Managing the review and approval of initiatives for assigned countries to ensure they meet the CBDC and the Hub’s priorities.
- Executing additional tasks raised for the Hub to support CBDC deliverables, such as internal audit deliverables, reports, ad hoc Stakeholder and Country ICRM requests.
- Supporting the Hub’s risk and control process with regular quality assurance reviews on executed clearances.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree/University level education or equivalent level of experience.
- CIPP/E certificate desirable.
- Relevant experience working in compliance, risk, third-party management, or other data privacy, outsourcing or legal related function.
- Excellent execution, time management, planning, and organizational skills with a strong follow through discipline.
- Ability to navigate multiple projects with attention to detail to address priority and competing timeframes.
- Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills - ability to interact, build and cultivate strong partnerships with a variety of stakeholders at Senior level and across different geographies / functions / products / roles / seniorities.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of cross-border data requirements such as data privacy, bank secrecy and outsourcing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Cognos and Excel is a plus.
