Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data & Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of data analysis, business intelligence, and process automation expertise. This role involves developing data solutions, creating insightful visualizations, ensuring data quality, and implementing automation platforms to drive efficiency and informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Perform complex data querying, manipulation, and analysis using SQL and SAS to extract actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Business Intelligence & Visualization:
- Develop, implement, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of BI solutions.
- Provide expertise in Tableau development best practices, including data source optimization and dashboard performance.
Data Quality & Governance:
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance policies.
- Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Work to improve data reliability and consistency across various data sources.
Business Process Automation:
- Develop, configure, and support business process management (BPM) applications using Appian.
- Utilize Xceptor for intelligent data capture, extraction, and automation solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and other data professionals.
- Present analytical findings and technical solutions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and SAS for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proven experience with Tableau development, including data modeling, dashboard design, and advanced reporting features.
- Hands-on experience with Appian development for building and deploying business applications.
- Familiarity with Xceptor for data extraction and automation.
Analytical Skills:
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
Experience:
- (Specify required years of experience - e.g., 3+ years) in a Data Analyst, SQL Developer, Tableau Developer, or similar role.
- Experience with data quality initiatives and data governance frameworks.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Tableau, Appian, or relevant data technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
