Job Overview

The Principal, Risk Intelligence and AI Design Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

The COB & CM Group Manager works to provide effective governance and highest level of commitment to Citigroup’s Enterprise Resiliency program, including its policies, standards, and procedures. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage Advanced Reporting Capabilities Using AI

- Plan and execute enhancements, including AI‑driven features

- Draft business cases for strategic investments

- Oversee product implementation and continuous improvements

  • Perform High-Touch Management Reporting

- Own production of key ER and BDSR reporting

- Evaluate and strengthen reporting controls

- Lead automation of manual data‑transformation activities, where economically sensible

- Manage the reporting and data‑production calendar

  • Administer Risk Metric Data

- Ensure accuracy of risk‑metric data in systems of record

- Review and enhance controls related to metric quality

- Support automation of metric dissemination

  • Perform liaison activities during audits by regulatory examination agencies, and internal / external audit groups where CoB is involved. This includes liaison / coordination with individual business units involved in any such audits.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • People‑Manager Responsibilities

- Lead and develop a team supporting reporting, data quality, and automation

- Oversee workflow prioritization, production timelines, and quality control

- Provide coaching and ensure delivery consistency across all ER reporting functions

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years Banking or Financial Services industry experience, Advanced degree

  • Excellent communication skills required to communicate with all staff levels and when communicating problems, opportunities and concepts to non-technical individuals.

  • Excellent written communication skills are required to document policies, procedures and standards as they apply to security.

  • Must have strong planning and organizing skills with the ability to work well with both seasoned and inexperienced team members. Must be able to work through cross-departmental/business situations, track performance, communicate expectations, anticipate and recognize problems, and when appropriate, escalate appropriately.

  • Must be able to apply CoB standards to completed and projected projects. Must be able to manage and prioritize responsibilities through the effective use of time management and organizational techniques. Must be able to apply analytical skills to improve performance of all security associated projects.

  • Excellent communication skills required to communicate with all staff levels and when communicating problems, opportunities and concepts to non-technical individuals.

  • Excellent written communication skills are required to document policies, procedures and standards as they apply to security.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$115,840.00 - $173,760.00
