Job Overview
Citi is seeking a Market Risk Data Quality Lead Analyst (C13)to drive the resolution of complex data quality challenges across the Market Risk organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Risk, Data Governance, and Technology, leading investigations, influencing remediation efforts, and delivering sustainable solutions that support accurate risk measurement, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of Market Risk Data Concerns, from root cause analysis and remediation planning through governance, validation, and sustainable closure, working across Risk, Technology, Front Office, Operations, Finance, and the Enterprise Data Office. This role plays a critical part in strengthening the Market Risk control environment, improving data reliability, and supporting Citi's broader risk management and regulatory objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Market Risk Data Concerns, including issue assessment, root cause analysis, remediation planning, validation, governance, and closure across Market Risk data flows and platforms.
- Lead investigations into complex data quality issues spanning business processes, data flows, technology platforms, controls, and operating procedures to identify underlying causes and business impact.
- Differentiate data quality defects from process, control, timing, or system design issues, ensuring concerns are accurately classified, assigned, and addressed by the appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide effective challenge to root cause assessments and remediation strategies, ensuring accountability is established and corrective actions are owned by the appropriate data providers, data owners, or consuming applications.
- Partner with Market Risk, Risk Technology, Front Office, Operations, Finance, Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Office teams to develop and implement sustainable remediation solutions that address both immediate issues and underlying control gaps.
- Lead cross-functional forums and working groups to assess impact, drive alignment, manage dependencies, and ensure timely execution of remediation commitments.
- Coordinate governance and senior management reviews by providing transparent reporting on issue status, key risks, remediation progress, milestones, and escalations.
- Support regulatory reviews, audits, and control assessments related to Market Risk data quality, while driving enhancements to preventative and detective controls that improve data quality and reduce issue recurrence.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Six or more years of experience in Market Risk, Risk Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Risk Technology, Regulatory Reporting, or Risk Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience managing data quality investigations, issue remediation programs, or regulatory data initiatives across complex, multi-system data environments.
- Solid knowledge of Market Risk processes including VaR, SVaR, Stress Testing, Risk Sensitivities, Market Risk Limits, RWA, Capital Calculations, FRTB, and Regulatory Reporting.
- Clear understanding of data governance principles, critical data elements (CDEs), data lineage, data controls, reconciliation processes, and data quality frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools, with the ability to interrogate large datasets to investigate data quality issues and validate remediation outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions with business, technology, and senior management stakeholders, and to prepare executive-level governance materials and written communications.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex data ecosystems and identify sustainable solutions.
- Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent remediation initiatives and deliver results within a highly regulated environment.

$100,800.00 - $151,200.00
