Team/Role Overview

As a Treasury & Trade Solutions Client Executive at Citi, you will serve as the primary relationship lead for a dedicated portfolio of clients, partnering closely with Sales, Banking, and Product teams to deliver tailored treasury solutions that drive revenue growth and long-term client retention. This is a strategic, client-facing role where your ability to understand complex treasury environments and act as a trusted advocate across Citi's global network — spanning over 100 countries — directly shapes the commercial outcomes and client experience of the business. What you’ll do

  • Act as the primary client relationship lead for a defined portfolio, developing a deep understanding of each client's treasury organisation and operational needs to deliver solutions that support sustained revenue growth.

  • Lead strategic engagement across Sales and Product teams, driving project completion, accelerating product adoption, and ensuring revenue realisation across the client portfolio.

  • Coordinate and own the delivery of critical client initiatives, including the implementation of new treasury solutions and the management of Voice of the Customer feedback programmes and resulting action plans.

  • Lead all client communication on product migrations, regulatory developments, and market changes, acting as the principal internal advocate to drive the change management agenda.

  • Champion the resolution of client issues by collaborating with Service and Operations partners, ensuring prompt outcomes that protect client satisfaction and business retention.

  • Manage revenue budgeting and forecasting for the client portfolio, including monthly revenue analysis and stakeholder reporting to safeguard and grow commercial performance.

  • Partner with Sales to ensure client-facing teams have clear visibility of pricing strategies and communicate consistently across the global network.

  • Lead proactive relationship reviews with senior client contacts and key decision-makers to identify opportunities, address emerging needs, and reinforce long-term partnerships.

What we’ll need from you

  • Background in client relationship management, customer service, sales, or senior operations within a financial services or corporate treasury environment.

  • Ability to operate independently, managing a complex client portfolio with a high degree of ownership and accountability for outcomes.

  • Confident communicating and influencing at all levels, from operational teams to senior decision-makers, both within Citi and at client organisations.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain momentum across concurrent projects.

  • Clear problem-solving capability, with the confidence to make independent decisions and bring issues to resolution without escalation.

  • A university degree is preferred; candidates who demonstrate the relevant skills, leadership capability, and professional experience will also be considered.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Back Office Cash Management or Trade Operations provides useful context for understanding the operational frameworks relevant to this role.

  • Proficiency in German, French, or Italian is advantageous given the international client base managed in this position.

  • Familiarity with treasury products, cash management solutions, or financial regulatory environments is a strong asset.
