Team/Role Overview
Regulatory Requirements & Obligations (RRO) is a fundamental area of compliance risk management. Citi has an obligation to comply with many and varied regulatory obligations that govern our industry and has established sustainable processes that can identify, apply, and monitor emerging and recent changes to current laws and regulations.
The RRO Quality Review (QR) Team provides oversight for the Regulatory Requirements & Obligations process, performing quality reviews for each stage of the process. Robust data analytics and controls are integral to this process to ensure reviews are conducted effectively, accurately, and consistently.
This role within the Quality Review (QR) Team offers a unique opportunity for an individual to contribute significantly to both QR testing activity and to provide essential support for data-related initiatives.
Supporting the Head of RRO QR Data Management & Reporting, the primary focus of this role is to assist with all aspects of data handling for Quality Review, including the creation, analysis, and dissemination of data, alongside regular reporting requirements.
The role will also involve testing elements of the Regulatory Requirements & Obligations (RRO) process to identify potential areas of misinterpretation of regulatory content, non-compliance with internal standards and detect potential areas of risk within the process.
Ideal candidate will have a strong legal and/or compliance background, excellent analytical and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on data proficiency. Experience of leading Compliance Reviews/ Audit or in another testing function is desirable but not essential.
What you’ll do
Support data sourcing, analysis, and reporting tasks to maintain data integrity and continuity of critical data functions. This may include sampling, test allocation and tracking
Conduct quality reviews of the Regulatory Requirements & Obligations (RRO) process, ensuring adherence to internal Standards and Procedures
Perform peer reviews to provide independent check and challenge of QR results to verify whether the testing results are accurate and consistent across all testers
Participates in legal programs and projects to achieve coordinated and efficient process improvements and legal support solutions; liaises with other control/functional businesses in support of initiatives
What we’ll need from you
Bachelors/University degree.
Relevant industry experience, preferably with some experience working in an in-house legal role within financial services
Strong IT skills, desirable: Python
Experience in data analysis and management, reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (formulas and functions, pivots), Outlook
Ability to manage complex documentation with organization and detail
Must possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills, as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with Senior management
Experience with Tableau
Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry
