Job Overview
The Corporate Bank provides strategic financial solutions to corporate, public sector and institutional clients globally. We partner with clients to support their growth, financing, treasury, risk management and broader strategic objectives through Citi's global network and product capabilities.
The Relationship Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of Citi's Corporate Banking franchise. Working closely with Corporate Bankers, product partners, Operations, Risk and other internal stakeholders, the Relationship Analyst helps ensure seamless client coverage, portfolio management and execution across a broad range of banking activities.
This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day client servicing, supporting credit and risk management activities, driving operational excellence and helping maintain strong client relationships. The successful candidate will work across multiple internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient execution, deliver an exceptional client experience and support the growth of the Corporate Banking franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Support Corporate Bankers in the management and growth of a portfolio of corporate and public sector clients by coordinating day-to-day relationship management activities and client requests.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, Operations and product partners to facilitate timely resolution of client inquiries, service issues and execution-related matters.
- Coordinate client onboarding, Know Your Client (KYC), due diligence, anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory requirements, ensuring assigned client portfolios remain compliant and up to date.
- Monitor and manage portfolio administrative requirements, ensuring timely completion of reviews, documentation, reporting and internal approvals.
- Support credit-related processes, including annual reviews, credit approvals, credit line monitoring, facility utilization tracking and documentation coordination.
- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Operations and product partners to facilitate credit documentation, loan documentation, account maintenance and transaction execution.
- Assist in the preparation of client materials, account plans, briefing notes, portfolio reviews, management reporting and internal presentations to support client coverage activities.
- Develop a strong understanding of Citi's product and coverage platform in order to navigate the organization effectively and connect clients with the appropriate resources.
- Support revenue retention and growth initiatives by identifying client needs, monitoring account activity and escalating potential business opportunities to Corporate Bankers.
- Act as a liaison between Citi's local and global teams to support client requirements, facilitate information sharing and promote efficient execution across geographies.
- Leverage available technology, data analytics and digital tools to enhance portfolio management, reporting, workflow efficiency and overall client service delivery.
- Develop a sound understanding of banking, credit and risk management principles while exercising prudent judgment in identifying and escalating potential risks.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance client service, increase operational efficiency and strengthen controls.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies and governance standards while escalating risks and control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, commercial banking, credit, client service, relationship support or similar financial services roles.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders including coverage teams, product partners, Operations, Risk and Compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand client needs, financial information and banking products.
- Knowledge of corporate banking products and services, including lending, cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange and treasury solutions.
- Understanding of credit processes, risk management principles and corporate banking documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across a broad stakeholder network.
- Strong problem-solving capability and ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other business productivity tools.
- Strong technology mindset with an interest in leveraging digital solutions, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, client service and operational efficiency.
- Experience working with UAE corporate clients or within a UAE/GCC banking environment is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
