Job Overview

Citi Corporate Banking serves as the conduit for Citi's full product suite, delivering integrated financing, treasury, capital markets and advisory solutions to corporate, public sector and institutional clients across Citi's global network.

The Associate is a key member of the Corporate Banking team, working closely with senior bankers to manage and grow relationships with corporate and public sector clients. The role provides exposure to client coverage, credit underwriting, portfolio management, business development and transaction execution across Citi's broad range of banking products and services.

Successful candidates will develop the commercial, analytical and relationship management skills required to build a long-term career in Corporate Banking while supporting the delivery of strategic banking solutions to some of the region's leading organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior bankers in managing and growing relationships with corporate and public sector clients, participating in client meetings, account planning and execution of strategic banking solutions.
• Assist in the development and execution of client account plans focused on revenue growth, wallet expansion and strengthening long-term client relationships.
• Support origination efforts by identifying client opportunities, preparing marketing materials and coordinating with product partners to deliver integrated banking solutions.
• Provide a broad range of corporate banking solutions, including cash management, trade and working capital solutions, foreign exchange, lending, debt capital markets, risk management and other treasury and financing products.
• Support bankers in cross-selling Citi's full spectrum of products and services by identifying and responding to clients' financing, transactional, risk management and advisory needs.
• Conduct financial analysis, industry research, peer benchmarking and company assessments to support client coverage, credit underwriting and business development activities.
• Coordinate marketing and execution activities with Corporate Bankers, product partners, Investment Banking teams and Citi's international network.
• Support credit underwriting and portfolio management activities, including contributions to annual reviews, risk assessments, portfolio monitoring and transaction evaluation.
• Develop an understanding of credit, transactional, reputational and franchise risks associated with client relationships and support risk mitigation efforts in coordination with senior coverage officers.
• Assist in obtaining internal approvals and coordinating with Risk, Capital Management, Legal and other control functions to support transaction execution.
• Continuously monitor market, industry and client developments to identify risks, opportunities and emerging trends relevant to client relationships.
• Leverage available technology, data analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve client analysis, portfolio management, reporting and execution efficiency.
• Build strong working relationships across Citi's product, risk and coverage teams to support effective client delivery and execution.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies while escalating issues and control concerns with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, credit, investment banking, corporate finance or related financial services roles.
• Demonstrated financial analysis, credit underwriting and corporate finance skills.
• Experience preparing credit approvals, conducting financial statement analysis and evaluating corporate financing structures.
• Strong interest in relationship management, business development and client coverage.
• Knowledge of corporate banking products including lending, treasury and trade solutions, cash management, foreign exchange, capital markets and risk management products.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across product, coverage and support teams.
• Strong technology mindset with an interest in leveraging digital solutions, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and client outcomes.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master's Degree and/or relevant professional qualifications preferred.
