Job Overview

Citi Corporate Banking serves as the conduit for Citi's full product suite, delivering integrated financing, treasury, capital markets and advisory solutions to corporate, public sector and institutional clients across Citi's global network.

The Analyst is an entry-level position within the Corporate Banking team, providing exposure to client coverage, credit analysis, transaction execution and portfolio management. Working closely with senior bankers, Associates and product partners, the Analyst supports the delivery of strategic banking solutions to some of the UAE's leading corporations and public sector institutions.

The role offers an opportunity to develop core banking, financial analysis and relationship management skills while gaining broad exposure to Citi's products, clients and global platform.

Responsibilities:

• Support Corporate Bankers and Associates in managing a portfolio of corporate and public sector clients through financial analysis, credit support and transaction execution activities.
• Participate in client transactions, projects and strategic initiatives as a member of the broader coverage team.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, briefing notes and marketing documents tailored to client needs and opportunities.
• Conduct financial analysis, modelling, company assessments, peer benchmarking and industry research to support client coverage and business development efforts.
• Support credit underwriting activities including preparation of credit approval materials, portfolio monitoring and analysis of client financial performance.
• Assist in the execution of financing transactions across loans, treasury solutions, trade finance, cash management, foreign exchange and capital markets products.
• Monitor client, industry and market developments and identify trends relevant to client relationships and business opportunities.
• Assist with Know Your Client (KYC), due diligence, credit limit management and other portfolio management requirements.
• Organize, analyze and interpret financial and operational data to support client recommendations and strategic decision-making.
• Build an understanding of Citi's product platform and collaborate with product partners and coverage teams to support client delivery.
• Leverage available technology, data analytics and AI-enabled tools to support financial analysis, research, reporting and workflow efficiency.
• Continuously develop technical, commercial and relationship management skills through on-the-job learning and exposure to client engagements.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies while escalating risks and control issues as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate or up to 3 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, investment banking, corporate finance, credit, accounting or related financial services roles.
• Strong interest in corporate banking, financial markets and client relationship management.
• Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and corporate finance concepts.
• Financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other business productivity tools.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in leveraging technology, data analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities.
• Experience or academic exposure to UAE, GCC or international corporate markets is advantageous.
