Job Overview

The Transaction Svs Supervisor is an intermediate management level position responsible for leading and supervising critical payment operation processes, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team. The overall objective of this role is to improve and simplify processes, uplift customer experience, interpret data, prepare reports, and minimize bank risk through ensuring adherence to audit and control policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Treasury and Trade services, Securities, Cash, Trade, Lockbox, Derivatives, Fund Services, Foreign Exchange, etc.
• Open and amend Letters of Credit (L/Cs), process payments and solve customer issues to ensure efficient daily operations
• Supervise a small team of clerical support employees engaged in performing routine clerical or processing tasks
• Solve non-routine transaction issues and other varied problems, and recommend new work procedures that have potential broader impact
• Evaluate team performance and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, staffing etc.
• Recommend new work procedures, utilizing a basic understanding of how own area integrates within Transaction Services
• Resolve problems based on analyzing information and ensure task quality
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in a related role
• Have working experience in Payment & Transfer Operations, Financial Services, Accounting & Reconciliation Operations
• Relevant Degree or equivalent
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
• Project and Automation transformation experiences

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

In addition, we're looking for valued candidate especially with the following experience and skillset.

1.    Complex Investigations & Analytical Thinking: Proven experience in managing and investigating complex financial transactions, demonstrating strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
2.    Process Improvement & SME Leadership: Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), identifying, suggesting, implementing, and validating process improvements for assigned products; with good risk control awareness to ensure strong process design and execution.
3.    Client-Centric Focus: A strong commitment to customer service, maintaining a client-focused approach, and continuously seeking ways to elevate operational service quality.
4.    Automation & Innovation: Experience in adopting automation solutions within operational processes using approved tools, including exploring and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications where appropriate.
5.    Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to exchange information concisely and logically, while remaining sensitive to audience diversity and tailoring messages accordingly; a strong English presentation skill is preferred to work with cross country partners in various project and innovation activities.
