Job Overview

As a Senior Trade Sales Specialist at Citi, you will drive the origination and execution of sophisticated trade and working capital solutions for key corporate clients across the franchise. In this high-impact leadership role within Treasury and Trade Solutions, you will partner with coverage teams and product partners to expand market share, originate marquee mandates, and deliver strategic revenue growth.  

Responsibilities:

• Execute targeted sales strategies and client origination initiatives in close coordination with fellow Trade Sales team members and coverage partners.
• Originate new trade finance opportunities and structure tailored working capital, supply chain finance, and trade service solutions for corporate clients.
• Partner with Product Management to deliver competitive multi-country trade solutions aligned with complex client operational requirements.
• Conduct systematic client portfolio and wallet reviews alongside relationship managers to identify untapped transactional revenue opportunities.
• Implement targeted sales campaigns across key trade product lines to expand client penetration and accelerate market share growth.
• Collaborate with key control functions including Legal, Compliance, and Credit Risk to ensure deal structuring maintains strong governance and credit discipline.
• Apply sound business judgment and ethical standards across all commercial activities to protect the firm's reputation and safeguard client assets.

Qualifications:

• Possess 6 to 10 years of banking and financial services experience with a strong track record in client-facing origination and relationship management.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of trade finance products, working capital structures, and credit approval processes.
• Exhibit strong collaborative skills and the ability to drive shared commercial results within a peer-based sales team.
• Showcase superior commercial acumen, analytical deal-structuring capabilities, and negotiation expertise.
• Communicate complex financial concepts persuasively to corporate treasurers, chief financial officers, and internal partners.
• Maintain advanced professional proficiency in English across written and verbal communications.

• Hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Possess direct experience originating structured trade, supply chain finance, and receivables financing programs.
• Demonstrate familiarity with cross-border trade transactions and multi-country corporate banking solutions.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
