Job Overview
The Investment Associate Analyst is an early-career role within the Private Bank investment team, with responsibilities across two key areas. First, the role supports the day-to-day operation of the investment desk, including client service, transaction follow-up, coordination with internal partners and execution-related workflows. Second, the role provides direct support to Senior Investment Counselors through the preparation of reports, presentations, market updates and other investment-related materials.
The position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong client service mindset, a willingness to manage recurring operational tasks, and a genuine interest in developing knowledge of financial markets, investment products and private banking. The role is well suited for a junior professional who is motivated to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and eager to contribute to both the operational and investment support needs of the team.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the Private Bank investment desk covering corporate treasury clients.
- Assist Senior Investment Counselors with client service, meeting preparation, reporting, presentations and market updates.
- Coordinate and follow up on client requests, including deposits, withdrawals, account servicing matters, documentation, execution follow-up and other day-to-day service needs.
- Prepare recurring reports, portfolio summaries, presentation materials and internal updates with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Help monitor markets, investment themes and internal research updates to support the preparation of client materials.
- Coordinate with internal partners across banking, operations, product, compliance and other teams to ensure timely resolution of client requests.
- Maintain organized records of client interactions, pending items, documentation and follow-ups.
- Support trade execution processes and operational workflows under the guidance of senior team members, in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries.
- Escalate operational, service, risk or control issues in a timely and transparent manner.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets by complying with applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, treasury, client service, investment operations, brokerage, banking operations, or related financial services.
- Strong interest in financial markets, investments, and private banking.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, time-sensitive tasks accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up on multiple requests simultaneously.
- Client service mindset, professionalism, and strong sense of ownership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior team members and internal partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn, receive feedback and grow within the investment platform.
- AMIB certification preferred or willingness to obtain it, if applicable.
Preferred Skills
- Prior exposure to investment products, fixed income, money markets, FX, structured products or corporate treasury solutions.
- Experience preparing client presentations, portfolio reports or market summaries.
- Familiarity with banking operations, account servicing, deposits, withdrawals and transaction follow-up.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, depending on client coverage..
Education
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
