Job Overview

The Business Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Analyst may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

• Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests
• Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
• Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations
• Monitor the preparation of regular and special budget reports
• Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Database query knowledge preferred
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Office
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Formación académica

• Licenciatura en Finanzas, Contabilidad, Administración o áreas afines.
• Deseable especialización o certificaciones relacionadas con análisis financiero o gestión de datos.

Conocimientos técnicos

• Inglés intermedio B2

• Manejo avanzado de Microsoft Excel (tablas dinámicas, fórmulas).
• Experiencia con herramientas de visualización como Power BI o Tableau.
• Conocimiento creación de bases de datos.

Experiencia

• 2 años de experiencia en gestión contable y creación de bases de datos.

• Análisis de gastos operativos (OPEX) y/o gastos de capital (CAPEX).
• Elaboración de presupuestos, pronósticos y análisis financiero.
• Generación de reportes ejecutivos y presentaciones.

• Capacidad analítica y atención al detalle.
• Pensamiento crítico para identificar tendencias y oportunidades de ahorro.
• Adaptabilidad y flexibilidad
• Habilidades de comunicación para presentar hallazgos a áreas financieras y operativas.

Responsabilidades típicas

• Creación y mantenimiento de bases de datos.
• Analizar, monitorear y reportar el comportamiento de gastos de la organización.
• Identificar desviaciones presupuestarias y sus causas.
• Apoyo en la preparación de reportes de análisis financieros y de la plantilla de personal.
• Apoyar en procesos administrativo, contables y operativos que se requieran para el logro de los objetivos financieros.
• Proponer en forma constante iniciativas de eficiencia y control.
