Job Overview
The NFRR Analyst is a developing professional role and subject matter expert responsible for executing complex aspects of the non-financial regulatory reporting cycle. This individual contributor role handles high-impact reporting tasks, advanced validations, and cross-functional coordination independently. The Analyst serves as an escalation point for junior team members, contributes to control framework enhancements, and identifies opportunities for process improvement and standardization within their area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Execution:
Prepare and submit complex non-financial regulatory reports for various jurisdictions and products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Perform advanced post-submission validation and analysis to identify and resolve issues related to regulatory reporting.
Reconcile positions and data sources to ensure the integrity of reporting.
Act as a primary point of contact for coordination with partner units for exceptions and clarifications pertaining to identified issues.
Process Improvement & Projects:
Execute elements of the roadmap to improve regulatory reporting operations by streamlining processes, mitigating risks, and enhancing documentation.
Develop Business Requirements for system-related enhancements and participate in the end-to-end management of their implementation.
Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder & Governance Support:
Participate in regulatory report design conversations with Product and ICRM stakeholders to provide detailed input on data and process requirements.
Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Technology partners to support integrated reporting solutions.
Prepare materials and participate in governance forums to provide updates on specific reports or issues.
Prepare data and draft responses for regulatory engagement under senior guidance.Control & Documentation:
Ensure the completeness of the reporting inventory for their assigned areas by maintaining up-to-date records.
Perform activities across control functions, including MCA, audits, and procedure updates.
Serve as an escalation point for junior analysts and contribute to internal training initiatives.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in Operations, preferably in a regulatory reporting space.
Solid experience in transactional regulatory reporting and a deep understanding of operational processes.
Proven experience working with business stakeholders and proficiency in developing business requirements.
Hands-on experience with data automation and analytics tools like Xceptor or Alteryx is a significant plus. Understanding of prompt development for AI tools.
Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Adequate proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in data automation and transformation tools such as Xceptor and Alteryx is highly desirable. Understanding of prompt development for AI tools.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
