Job Overview
We are seeking a professional to join our team in Chennai, India, reporting to the Global Lead of Commercial Cards Program Setup & Maintenance. The primary responsibilities for this position include driving operational efficiency within the team and ensuring a robust risk management framework. This role requires strong commercial awareness and involves close collaboration with stakeholders at both the cluster and global levels to support our diverse operational landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Assume full ownership and accountability for the performance and outcomes of the Commercial Cards Program Setup & Maintenance function.
- Lead and manage key operational projects and strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with global stakeholders to achieve industry-leading performance metrics, enhance efficiency, and deliver best-in-class service standards.
- Serve as a key representative of the business and Citibank in client-facing engagements as required, upholding the professional standards of the firm.
- Conduct the Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) for all related functions, ensuring strict adherence to established control frameworks and policies.
- Establish and maintain effective performance metrics, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and Turnaround Times (TATs), to rigorously monitor operational performance and proactively resolve any identified issues or gaps.
- Oversee vendor management activities to drive operational efficiency, align processes with internal controls, and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
- Champion continuous process and operational improvements, fostering a culture of innovation and enhancement that contributes to the business's long-term success.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, senior management, internal teams, external clients, and key stakeholders.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and its assets by driving compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This includes adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with full transparency.
As a successful candidate, you would ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's/University degree, with a Master’s degree being highly preferred.
- This role requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in a senior-level capacity, complemented by a strong background in commercial cards operations management.
- Applicants must have demonstrated, in-depth, and hands-on expertise in Card Program Setup, Application and Maintenance Processing, Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, and ECS+ Maintenance functions.
- A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end Commercial Cards product life cycle.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully driving change and transformation initiatives that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with cards and ECS+ systems and their operational workflows is a key requirement for this position.
- We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in creating and implementing processes that lead to measurable improvements in business performance.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills, are critical for success.
- Given the global scope of this role, the candidate must have the proven ability to work flexibly and effectively with teams across different time zones.
