Job Overview

Are you passionate about building high-quality software? We are looking for an enthusiastic Applications Development Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic Quality Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around two years of experience to grow their career. You will be responsible for helping to ensure the reliability of our applications by developing, testing, and analyzing our software. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and developers, contributing to our automated testing solutions and the overall quality of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Test Automation: Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using our existing frameworks.
  • Software Development: Participate in the application development process, writing clean and testable code with guidance from senior team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform both manual and automated testing to identify, document, and help resolve software defects.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Work with our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to help integrate and run automated tests.
  • Performance and Load Testing: Assist in executing performance and load tests to ensure our applications are responsive and scalable.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to learn and apply coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements and contribute to delivering high-quality software.
  • Documentation: Help create and maintain clear documentation for test plans and test cases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in a software development or quality assurance role.
  • Good programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • A foundational understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Skills:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
    • Basic experience with test automation tools.
    • Knowledge of database fundamentals (SQL, NoSQL).
    • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).
    • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong desire to learn and grow.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
