Job Overview

The Data/Information Management Manager (AVP) not only shoulders supervisory responsibility of analyst & developers' team(s) but also applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. He is expected to manage as-is delivery and contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within Operations Business Intelligence (BI). Proficient communication and change management skills are must-have.

Over and above managing end-to-end delivery, full supervisory responsibilities for the team(s) entail motivating and developing team(s) through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. The AVP would generally have responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
  • Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems
  • Use some independence of thought, collaborate with stakeholders and technology to solve for complex data problems
  • Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or operational process
  • Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
  • May direct day-to-day work of junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of data engineering, reporting & visualization, decision analytics
  • Expertise in AI tools & techniques
  • Understanding of operational processes, business models will be an added advantage

Education:

  • B. Tech / Masters' degree or equivalent experience
