Job Overview
This Business Systems lead is the business owner and strategic leader responsible for the rollout, governance and ongoing optimization of the Third-Party Management (TPM) system. This role ensures the TPM system fully enables the target operating model, regulatory compliance requirements, and enterprise risk management objectives.
This leader drives system-enabled transformation across the end-to end third party lifecycle, partnering closely with TPM, Risk, Compliance, procurement, operations, and technology teams globally. The role combines business system ownership with transformation program leadership to accelerate value realization and strength control effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include
- Business Ownership of TPM Systems
- Serves as the business owner of the Third-Party Platform
- Defines system vision, roadmap and enhancement priorities aligned to TPM strategy
- Ensures the system supports end-to-end third party lifecycle management (onboarding, due diligence, monitoring and termination)
- Maintain accountability for system effectiveness, usability, and business value delivery.
- TPM System Rollout & Implementation
- Lead global rollout of the TPM system
- Coordinate user acceptance testing UAT and validation activities
- Drive change management, communications and adoption strategy
- Develop deployment timelines and ensure on time implementation
- Process & System Integration
- Align system workflows with TPM operating model and governance framework
- Identify process gaps and drive system improvements
- Ensure integration with upstream and downstream systems (e.g procurement, P2P)
- Standardize workflows to promote consistency and regulatory compliance
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Act as primary business point of contact for TPM systems-related matters
- Partner with Risk, compliance, legal, Procurement and business stakeholders
- Lead systems governance forums and priorities enhancements and fixes
- Ensure regular reporting on system performance and adoptions metric
- Follow the Sun Operating Model Support
- Coordinate global support model
- Establish structure handoffs to enable continuous improvement progress across time zones
- Ensure timely issue resolution and minimize business disruption
- Maintain SLA and escalation protocols
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify automation (including AI) opportunities to reduce manual effort and control gaps
- Drive data quality improvements and reporting enhancements
- Support Regulatory changes and evolving third party risk requirements
- Lead system optimization initiatives to accelerate TPM transformation
- Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Ensure the system enforces regulatory and policy requirements
- Maintain audit readiness and support interna/external audits
- Monitor control effectiveness within the platform
- Implement corrective action for identified system and process weaknesses
- Vendor & Technology Collaboration
- Partner with tech and external vendors for upgrades, releases, and technology enhancements
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
- Participate in platform roadmap discussion
- Oversee regression testing and release validation
Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years across a number of the fields below: Project management, System implementation, Procurement, Compliance, Operational Risk and/or Third-Party Risk Management
- Demonstrated experience leading large scale transformation programs and with cross functional stakeholders
- Ability to develop strong relationships, negotiate areas of difference and build consensus across the global, regional and country needs.
- Experience with data management, supply chain system management, and cloud systems, sourcing, operations and risk systems plus internal, externally sourced system assets and AI would be ideal.
- Ability to handle a high volume of demand with flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, Finance, Information Systems or related field
- Relevant professional certifications
