Job Overview
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automaton engineer with a strong background in Selenium WebDriver testing, API testing and expertise in the Cucumber Framework. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently developing and maintain automation frameworks from scratch. This role demands proficiency in Maven, Git and Bit bucket for version control and continuous integration. Exposure to Jira and Zephyr for test management is essential, and the ability to adapt to manual testing requirements is crucial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, Maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for Web application testing.
- Design and implement Automated API tests to validate backend services.
- Create and manage automation frameworks using Cucumber to support BDD practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test automation strategies a best practice.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Git and Bir bucket.
- Execute manual testing when required and contribute to manual testcases.
- Utilize JIRA and Zephyr for test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Trouble shoot automation issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Hands-on experience in QA automation with a focus on Selenium WebDriver and API testing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Cucumber.
- Strong programming skills in Java or another object-oriented language
- Hands-on experience with maven, Git, Bit bucket for version control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience also considered.
- 6 years of relevant experience in Functional and Automation Testing practice.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
