Commerce media is one of the fastest-growing segments in advertising, and Citi is bringing its powerful assets to launch a new media offering. With 70MM+ cardmembers, 6.5 billion annual transactions, and visibility across 700+ merchant categories, Citi has the scale, the trust, and the data infrastructure to compete at the highest level.

That cross-wallet visibility, combined with Citi's direct relationships with tens of millions of engaged, digitally active customers, creates a compelling foundation for advertisers who want to reach high-intent audiences and measure real outcomes.
We're building Citi's Commerce Media business, from the ground up, and we're looking for a lead analyst who knows how to translate client objectives into flawless campaign execution. Someone who is equally comfortable setting a long-term team vision and rolling up their sleeves on technical requirements, and who takes pride in building campaigns that perform, scale, and evolve with the market. If you've spent your career leading large-scale programmatic media teams and you're ready for the challenge of a lifetime, this is the role.
Role requires cross functional interaction, understanding of Business goals and drivers, and the ability to consult on technical design with non-technical audiences. Additionally, role has direct oversight of day to day operations of a critical list processing vendor and strong integration with internal IT teams. The ability to bridge English strategy to technical implementation is critical and to work seamlessly across Business and Technical resources from peers through Senior Management is a must. Role will be hands on within the Proprietary Marketing Platform, coding and testing scenarios as they solidify.
Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Scope, Accountability & Strategic Leadership
- Manages targeting and implementation across multiple online and offline channels within one or more functional specialties.
- Educate marketing partners on new toolsets and help develop and implement best-in-class customer centric campaign strategies.
- Provide insight driven recommendations to optimize strategies and enhance operational process components.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of multi-channel, customer centric marketing techniques.
- Strong working knowledge base in quantitative and analytical techniques including report analysis, association rules, decision trees, timeline and task plan analysis and visualization techniques.
- Experience driving sophisticated exploratory data analysis and provides results to Business Partners.
- Hands on Work coding within the Citi Marketing Platform, Proprietary system hosted by a 3rd Party Vendor. Full knowledge must be gained of platform environments, data and ecosystem.
Influence / Collaboration
- Interacts with cross-functional areas at the Functional Specialty level.
- Primary liaison with the Marketing Program Managers, Analytics, and Risk to develop sound Business Requirements and work through the business needs to ensure successful project completion.
- Direct Oversight of List Processing Vendor team to support successful campaign execution.
- Direct working relationship with In Business Control team for monthly Control monitoring and testing
- Strong Collaboration, acting as an internal consultant with campaign design and requirements
- Active participation in Strategy meetings and daily Scrums
Judgment / Decision Making
- Understands impact/implications of issues/events within the marketing segments and other areas within the Audience Management Group.
- Works with considerable latitude for decision making in setting priorities under area of responsibility.
- Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to less ambiguous situations requiring the adaptation of standard procedures or techniques.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in a digital or database marketing role, preferably in financial services.
- 6-10 years of strategic business analysis; aptitude in displaying and communicating data analysis and results within a CRM focused environment, leveraging a robust campaign management software toolset.
- Requires attention to detail, advanced project management skills, good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Acumen working in a technical environment to solve business related problems.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment with evolving tools and processes.
- Understanding of legal, regulatory environment and experience within a highly controlled environment preferred.
- SQL required and SAS experience is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred

As a Commerce Media Operations Lead Analyst you will lead strategic client engagements and drive revenue growth for the business. You will identify and execute against high-value opportunities and shape the go-to-market strategy for the business and platform. This role will serve as a senior, externally facing leader for the business, owning advertiser engagement, shaping go-to-market strategy, and establishing Citi as a credible and differentiated commerce media partner with brands, agencies, and strategic partners. As Citi scales this new area, the role will also bring deep commerce media expertise to inform decisions across strategy, monetization, platform capabilities, and measurement. The role will play a central part in driving early momentum while laying the foundation for long-term, scalable growth.

$107,120.00 - $160,680.00
