Job Overview

The Senior Crypto Engineer is a senior level professional position responsible for driving efforts to prevent, monitor and respond to information/data breaches and cyber-attacks. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the execution of Information Security directives and activities in alignment with Citi's data security policy.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize information security controls and for the supported groups.
• Certifying Hardware Security Modules and Crypto applications within Citi and provide L4 support.
• Create automated testing solution, review and validate results and prioritize actions that resolve issues based on overall risk.
• Reduce risk by analyzing the root cause of issues, their impact, and required corrective actions
• Coordinate between different Engineering, Operations and Business teams. Understand the higher level of goals, split and assign to appropriate teams.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Holds the ownership of multiple products and share the knowledge of the product with the teammates and help them to fully understand procedures, best practices and standards.
• With suggestions helps management chain to achieve goals and builds the reputation of the team.

Must have:

• 6-10 years of experience on technology and information security.
• Deep knowledge of crypto techniques and algorithms. 

• Programming skills in most common languages (e.g., C++, C#, Python, Perl, Java).
• Solid skills in scripting languages (VB, Bash, PS, expect).
• Solid knowledge in various Crypto appliances and solutions.
• Strong knowledge and experience of PKCS protocols, JCE and CSP/KSP.
• Strong knowledge of various crypto protocols, mechanisms and methods.
• Security mindset.
• Ability to define deadlines internally and externally and tracking them in multiple projects.

Good to have:

• Deep networking knowledge on all OSI levels.
• Knowledge of PKI.
• Knowledge of database solutions (Relational, No-SQL, etc.).
• Experience in building physical IT infrastructure (racking, cabling, documenting).
• Experience with Hardware Security Modules.
