This role supports project coordination, communications, and rollout activities for technology initiatives within the Global Travel department. The Technology Product Operations Associate assists with planning tasks, stakeholder updates, and the execution of business initiatives that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall Global Travel program.
The role works closely with Global Travel business teams, technology partners, and third‑party suppliers to help translate business needs into clear project tasks, organized documentation, and effective communications that enable smooth rollout execution and user adoption across regions. In partnership with product managers, regional teams, and external vendors, the position assists in managing project timelines, tracking deliverables, and supporting day‑to‑day coordination. While deep technical expertise is not required, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders are critical to success.
The role provides operational technology support for Travel products by assisting with product implementation activities and coordinating with the Global Product Head and Product Leads. The Technology Product Operations Associate contributes to continuous improvement efforts by supporting business planning activities, documenting key deliverables, and helping evaluate business and system processes. The role collaborates with teams across regions and functions and applies foundational technology understanding to support problem‑solving, process reviews, and delivery of product enhancements.
What you will do
- Assist in coordinating technology initiatives for Global Travel platforms by supporting project status tracking, monitoring key milestones, and helping ensure alignment across teams involved in delivery.
- Assist in reviewing business processes to identify basic gaps and improvement opportunities. Support the gathering of data needs and documentation of required interfaces or process updates. Help translate business needs into clear, straightforward requirements for system enhancements and assist in coordinating testing, deployment tasks, and rollout activities across the global platform.
- Manage content and intranet site updates within available communication platforms (SharePoint Online, MS Teams, distribution lists).
- Oversee and enhance the Global Travel Service Desk operations, including identification and implementation of system improvements, strategic deployment of AI for process efficiencies, proactive coordination with support groups, exploration of integration opportunities, and development and enforcement of quality assurance processes.
- Manage and optimize the execution of recurring operational processes, including accurate and efficient delivery of data feeds, deployment and monitoring of traveler notification campaigns, and analysis/reporting of ServiceNow metrics to identify trends and improve service delivery.
- Own and optimize the Global Travel Client Survey, ensuring robust feedback collection and implementation of enhancements to continuously improve client satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary representative for EMEA in CTE office hours, leveraging regional expertise to contribute to discussions and leading global consolidation and tracking of feedback and enhancement requests.
- Serve as operational contact for Travel Shared Services to complete quarterly attestation and annual review, supporting compliance with Citi Internal Third‑Party Management Standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project and product status reports, including tracking of technology deliverables, platform enhancements, and rollout progress across regions.
- Draft and distribute clear technology product communications, including enhancement announcements, stakeholder updates, user-facing messages, and business-readiness briefings.
What we will need from you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Preferable)
- 3–5 years of experience in technical business travel support or travel‑related product management, with demonstrated success driving operational process change and technology‑enabled improvements.
- Strong understanding of how technology integrates across business, product, and operational environments, including awareness of industry trends in travel technology and related services.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, identify root causes, and drive actionable, measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing executive‑level, stakeholder‑focused, and user‑facing materials.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and competing priorities in a fast‑paced, global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and deliver high‑quality client service, partnering effectively with cross‑functional, regional, and vendor teams.
- Highly developed organizational, planning, and stakeholder‑management capabilities, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear project plans, requirements, and communications.
- Proficiency with key collaboration and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and similar platforms used for documentation, coordination, and communication.
- Experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools and digital technologies to support operational efficiency, improve controls, and advance both BAU and strategic initiatives.
