Job Description for Business Analytics Group Manager (C14) – Citi Advisor Insights (CAI), Wealth Business

The Business Analytics Group Manager for Citi Advisor Insights (CAI) is a senior leadership role accountable for leading the offshore analytics team that forms the core of the CAI platform. This leader will direct a team of professionals to drive the analytical strategy and execution for CAI, a flagship platform designed to transform advisor productivity and drive measurable financial impact across Citi’s Wealth Business. Requires a comprehensive understanding of wealth management, advisor-client engagement dynamics, and advanced analytics. This role will partner closely with senior leaders in Product, Technology, and Business to shape the CAI roadmap. Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills are essential to articulate the platform's value and impact to senior internal stakeholders. Full management responsibility of the AIM CAI team, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with global stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements, overseeing data collection, processing, and exploratory analysis of large, complex advisor and client datasets to uncover actionable insights
  • Develop and articulate the end-to-end analytical vision for the CAI ecosystem, guiding the team to solve complex business challenges related to client engagement and advisor workflow optimization
  • Serve as the key analytics point of contact, leading cross-functional discussions with Product, Technology, and Business teams to drive the analytics roadmap, ensure alignment, and facilitate the adoption of new features
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the robust analytical framework to solve business challenges and quantify CAI's impact on advisor productivity, client engagement, and key financial outcomes like NNIA
  • Direct the analytics team in building and refining sophisticated models, including client prioritization algorithms, GenAI-powered idea recommendations, and machine learning-based scoring and ranking
  • Champion innovative analytical approaches, leveraging new tools, statistical models, and GenAI/ML methods to transform the capabilities and impact of the CAI platform
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analytics professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, analytical rigor, and business impact
  • Cross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goal
  • Leverage industry best practices, navigate and leverage internal relationships and become the key point of contact to ensure delivery and adoption
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Recommended Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in analytics, with significant experience in the wealth management or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of providing analytic thought leadership, particularly in areas of digital engagement, sales enablement, or client lifecycle management
  • Deep experience managing and delivering complex, data-driven projects in partnership with technology, product, and business teams
  • Experience with analytics related to advisor-facing platforms or large-scale digital marketing/engagement tools is highly desirable
  • Creative problem-solving skills with an ability in strategic thinking and framing business problems
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and/or statistical skills with a proven ability to translate large volumes of data into actionable insights
  • An exceptional influencer who can clearly and concisely communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical analysts and senior non-technical business leaders
  • Intellectually curious, consistently seeking and developing new opportunities

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science; Master’s degree preferred
