About the Team:

The Regulatory Exams team is a critical component of the USCC Risk & Control Data Support team. We play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's adherence to regulatory policies by meticulously supporting data requests for federal and state regulatory examinations. Our target is to provide accurate, comprehensive, and timely data to regulatory bodies, validating consistent compliance with financial rules and regulations.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Analyst, you will be instrumental in managing and executing all regulatory and ad-hoc data requests with precision and efficiency. This role demands a deep understanding of data extraction, profiling, and analysis to meet stringent regulatory timelines. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable data strategies, ensuring 100% accuracy in all deliveries. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Data Request Management: Lead the end-to-end process of fulfilling regulatory data requests, from initial requirement gathering to final data validation and documentation.
• Data Extraction & Manipulation: Perform advanced data extraction and manipulation using various tools and platforms to prepare complex datasets as per regulatory specifications.
• Data Analysis & Anomaly Detection: Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis, data profiling, and anomaly detection to identify potential issues and ensure data integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Facilitate recurring engagement with onshore teams and other stakeholder teams to clarify requirements, address issues promptly, and secure necessary approvals and cover notes for any data anomalies.
• Quality Assurance & Documentation: Ensure the highest level of accuracy and completeness in all data deliveries, maintaining meticulous documentation for auditability and future reference.
• Ad-hoc Analysis & Insights Generation: Support diverse ad-hoc data extraction requests, leveraging a deep understanding of business domains to identify trends, correlations, patterns, and generate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
• Project Leadership: Manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to meeting hard deadlines.

Technical Acumen:

• Data Technologies: Proficient in SQL, SAS, and RDBMS. Exposure to Big Data technologies and Python is highly desirable.
• Reporting & Analytics: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
• Version Control & Project Management: Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, and GitHub for project management and code version control.
• Emerging Technologies: Exposure to the Generative AI (Gen AI) Ecosystem is a significant advantage.

Domain Expertise:

• Financial Services Knowledge: Strong understanding of the banking domain, including consumer products such as Retail Banking, Private Label and Branded Cards, and Mortgage Loans.

Analytical Prowess:

• Data Management & Analysis: Expertise in data analysis, data profiling, and comprehensive data management techniques.
• SDLC Understanding: Thorough understanding of the project and systems development lifecycle (SDLC) is essential.
• Requirements Translation: Ability to translate abstract business problem statements into clear, actionable technical requirements.
• Leadership: Experience in leading and mentoring team deliverables.

• Education Level: Master’s / Advanced Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ Engineering/ MBA from a premier institute
• Overall experience of 8-12 years with 3+ years of experience in managing team deliverables, delivering reporting/ data driven solutions,
