Job Overview
Citi is looking for a Talent Planning Policy Manager to own and evolve the policy, governance, and operational frameworks that underpin talent strategy at Citi. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, advising senior HR leaders and business partners while ensuring talent planning processes remain robust, compliant, and aligned to regulatory expectations. Your work will directly shape how Citi identifies, develops, and retains talent at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain talent planning policies, procedures, and governance standards, ensuring they remain current and aligned to the organisation's evolving talent strategy.
- Partner with second line of defence functions to review and agree changes to policy and procedure, ensuring all updates meet internal control requirements.
- Monitor and manage the control environment for talent planning processes, maintaining oversight of all related procedures and proactively documenting required governance artefacts in real time.
- Establish and manage a records management system for talent strategy, applying appropriate access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Lead the annual identification of key roles across the organisation and coordinate the corresponding tagging and tracking in the HR system.
- Design and deliver a suite of resources to support the end-to-end annual talent review process, including manager guides, HR toolkits, information sessions, and readiness summaries, ensuring materials reflect current processes and build user capability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a talent management, HR policy, or HR governance role, with demonstrated ability to manage policy frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, for tracking, reporting, and managing programme-related data.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, particularly in the context of talent management or workforce planning workflows.
- Experience supporting regulatory or internal audit requests within an HR or talent function.
