Role Overview
The Middle Office Senior Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery to our most strategic clients both internal and external. This individual acts as the primary point of contact, building strong relationships and providing proactive support to resolve complex issues and facilitate efficient trade processing within the Delta 1 Equity Swaps business. The role requires a deep understanding of financial operations, robust analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders, while also exploring innovative solutions through AI.

Proactively identify opportunities to add value through enhanced support and issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison, interfacing directly with the Delta 1 Trading desk, Financial Control, and Settlements teams to support all Business-as-Usual (BAU) functions and address ad-hoc requests promptly and accurately.
- Trade Processing & Allocation: Accurately and efficiently process Swap Trade allocations, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and market regulations.
- Operational Control & Reconciliation: Execute critical Middle Office reconciliations and controls, maintaining a robust and controlled environment for business support.
- Process Optimization & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for operational inefficiencies and trade discrepancies. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
- Issue Resolution: Drive the timely and effective resolution of client and operational issues, escalating as necessary and communicating updates clearly to all relevant parties.
- Technical Liaison & Issue Remediation: Collaborate closely with support teams to identify and understand repetitive operational issues, perform in-depth root cause analysis, and work with technology teams to implement permanent fixes and preventive measures.
- AI Integration & Automation: Identify opportunities for leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to streamline manual processes, reduce operational risk, and improve overall operational efficiency and accuracy.
What we need from you
- Experience: Proven experience in a client-facing support role within a financial services environment or direct experience in a Trade/Desk Support capacity.
- Domain Expertise (Preferred): Prior experience directly supporting a demanding trading desk, ideally with exposure to Equity Swaps or other complex derivatives.
- Operational Mobility: Demonstrated experience in managing or participating in the movement of functions or processes between geographically dispersed teams.
- Results-Oriented: A strong track record of delivering results consistently and effectively, particularly when operating under strict deadlines and high-pressure environments.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of the impacts on risk and Profit & Loss (P&L) within a trading or financial operations context.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.
- AI Literacy: Familiarity with emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools, with an understanding of their potential application in optimizing financial operations and reducing manual effort.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
