We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled .NET Full Stack Developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with knowledge of Markets domain in Kazakhstan. A strong plus will be experience with Java as well. This role requires development of the following in-country applications:
- The in-country applications maintain several critical business functions for Markets Operations, including:
- Downloading market data, FX, and repo deals from the Kazakhstan stock exchange and their further submission to downstream applications.
- Downloading swap, spot, and forward deals from upstream applications and their further submission to the Kazakhstan central depository.
- Downloading exchange rates from the National Bank.
- Regulatory reporting to the National Bank.
- Risk reporting to downstream applications.
- Downloading broker deals from the Kazakhstan stock exchange and their further submission to downstream applications.
- Downloading exchange rates from the National Bank.
- Regulatory reporting to the National Bank.
- Reconciliation report submission to downstream applications.
- The application's functionality is mandated by local regulations as described in “Requirements for software and hardware and other equipment necessary for carrying out activities on the securities market” and “NBK Resolution #110 dated December 24, 2025, ‘On approval of the Rules for the submission of reports by professional participants in the securities market and the unified accumulative pension fund.’”
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and CSS, ensuring performance and usability standards are met.
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly classical windows applications using Delphi RAD Studio.
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Experience in Core Java / J2EE development and proficiency with Spring Framework and Caching frameworks.
- Experience building web platforms with React/Web.
- Architect and develop scalable database schemas, stored procedures in PL/SQL and T-SQL, and functions across relational and SQL database platforms, including MSSQL and Oracle, to support application requirements.
- Create and maintain automated workflows that interact with multiple APIs, databases, and application UIs to drive system integration and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to translate requirements into user stories and provide technical sizing estimates to support prioritization and delivery planning.
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful microservices and backend services using .NET Core, adhering to microservices architecture principles and design patterns.
- Manage code promotion activities and SDLC compliance artifacts, ensuring all required documentation and governance checkpoints are met throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Maintain code repository hygiene and ensure developer metrics are consistently achieved across branches, commits, and version control practices.
- Participate in UAT testing cycles and resolve defects in a timely manner to protect release schedules and ensure quality delivery.
- Support CI/CD pipeline operations and DevOps tooling (Tekton, Teamcity, GitHub, uDeploy, SonarQube) to facilitate reliable, automated deployment and continuous integration practices.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint grooming, backlog refinement, and delivery planning, taking ownership of assigned tasks through to completion.
Qualifications
- Proven years' experience in full-stack development with expertise in .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, Angular, TypeScript, and CSS for front-end; and .NET Core, .NET Framework or Java microservices for back-end.
- Strong hands-on experience with database design and development across MS SQL and Oracle, including schema design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns, with the ability to design, build, and maintain distributed, loosely coupled services.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design, development, and integration, including experience consuming and exposing APIs across complex enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, including Tekton, Teamcity, GitHub, uDeploy, SonarQube, with practical experience in deployment automation and version control workflows.
- Proven ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical user stories, provide effort estimates, and deliver code that meets project and compliance standards.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within the FX and Securities Markets domain is preferred.
- Understanding of the role of National Bank, Stock Exchange, Central depository and underlying legislation in Kazakhstan is highly sought.
- Experience managing SDLC artifacts and code promotion processes in compliance-driven enterprise environments.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and OpenShift is a plus.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and a working knowledge of software quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with AI fundamentals, including prompt engineering and interaction with AI/ML-integrated tooling, is a plus.
