Job Overview
The Trade Sales Manager is a key, value-driving role within our Services salesforce, responsible for originating, structuring, and leading deals within Trade and Working Capital Solutions. This individual brings product knowledge and technical experience to drive business growth across Corporate (Global Subsidiaries and Local) and Public Sector client segments. With a global network spanning 100+ countries, we are uniquely qualified to service clients with local and cross-border interests. This role is pivotal in leading a portfolio of clients and their associated deals, working in alignment with Product Managers, Global Solutions Sales, and Coverage partners to deliver on strategic business goals
Key Responsibilities:
I. Business Development & Client Relationship Management
- Originate new business and deepen existing client relationships to grow portfolio revenues, profitability, and asset levels.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned client portfolio, identifying and pursuing new opportunities in coordination with Relationship Management teams.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on all trade-related matters, providing expert advice and building deep, trust-based relationships with key client decision-makers.
- Keep abreast of client needs, industry trends, and market intelligence to inform new product development and enhance our competitive position.
II. Deal Structuring & Negotiation
- Own the full deal lifecycle, from initial client engagement and needs analysis through to structuring, internal approval, and successful execution.
- Structure and present tailored trade and working capital solutions, including Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Financing, and other structured trade products, that address complex client requirements.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of client financial statements, business models, and risk profiles to build a strong business case and inform deal structuring.
- Prepare, present, and defend credit applications and transaction proposals before internal risk and product approval committees.
- Lead the negotiation of term sheets and review legal documentation to ensure alignment with agreed-upon business terms.
III. Execution & Portfolio Oversight
- Ensure all transactions and portfolio activities adhere to the highest standards of risk, control, and compliance.
- Coordinate with Regional/Global Trade teams, Operations, and Middle Office to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent client experience.
- Provide training and product updates to the broader Services and Banking salesforce to elevate the team's collective trade expertise.
- Monitor and provide continuous feedback on ongoing initiatives, taking full ownership of project deliverables and follow-ups.

- Exposure to budget management, revenue forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
- Builds a strong internal network by interfacing with back, middle, and front-office teams.
- Deepens market/economic knowledge and expertise across multiple industries.
- Gains experience with cross-border booking vehicles and the bank's global network.
- Enhances credit, risk analysis, and financial structuring capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking, preferable in Trade.
- Expertise in a range of Trade and Working Capital solutions (e.g., Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Financing, Structured Trade Finance).
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are required for client communication. French is a plus.
- Proven experience in a client-focused environment.
Education:
- University degree (BA/BSc required; MBA or higher is a benefit).
- Formal credit training (e.g., Certified Credit Analyst) is strongly preferred.
