Job Overview

Lending analytics team is responsible generating actionable insights develop marketing and targeting strategies to hit shared goals for US Consumer Unsecured Lending growth. The Business Analytics Sr Lead Analyst will focus on the development of comprehensive strategy recommendations based on multiple factors such as in-depth customer insights (analytically derived); sound financial impact forecasting and thorough understanding of competitive landscape. Team collaborates with functional teams from Product, Marketing, Risk, and technology, customer experience departments to assess, develop and launch lending growth strategies.

The Business Analytics Sr Lead Analyst is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:

  • Creating omni-channel marketing and targeting strategies to hit shared goals for US Consumer personal installment lending products
  • Develop and articulate analytical framework to solve business challenges
  • Make data driven recommendations using statistical and non-statistical tools to develop targeting strategies – covering all channels, new to market and cross sell to existing cards and bank customers.
  • Create an optimization framework to maximize the ROI for marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with functional teams from Product, Marketing, Risk, and technology
  • Support the execution priorities of Lending analytics team
  • Lead and develop professionals, especially around developing sound analytical approach to solve business problems
  • Drive innovative thinking about leveraging new tools/methods to transform the analytical capability of the organization
  • Cross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goal
  • The incumbent will leverage industry best practices, navigate and leverage internal relationships and become the key point of contact to ensure delivery and adoption
  • Ensure robust quantity control in the analytical processes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems

  • Strong logical reasoning ability
  • Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data
  • Experience in usage of different analytical techniques, like segmentation, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, hypothesis testing, optimization etc.
  • Established competency in working with data from multiple sources

Domain Skills (Preferred):

  • (Required) Experience in financial services
  • (Preferred) Experience in installment loan products

Education and Experience:

  • (Preferred) Post Graduate in – Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields
  • 10+ years of hands on experience in business analytic

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$156,160.00 - $234,240.00
