Job Overview
Reference Data Management teams are crucial in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial information within the bank's accounting systems. This role specifically focuses on the comprehensive setup, update, and ongoing maintenance of static and reference data for a wide range of securities. The work involves reflecting complex capital transactions and ensuring up-to-date market/financial information, often requiring close cooperation and verification with market and global financial data providers. Success in this role demands active collaboration with internal teams across various geographical locations, including those involved in transaction processing, to deliver consistent and comprehensive data vital for our clients' operations.
Responsibilities:
Accurate and timely setup, update, and maintenance of static and reference data for various securities (e.g., bonds, equities, derivatives) within internal systems.
Proactive monitoring, prioritization, and efficient execution of static and reference data requests, ensuring strict adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), frequent cut-off times, and internal deadlines.
Close cooperation with internal operational teams, including transaction processing, settlement, and other custody-related departments, to ensure seamless data flow and resolve data-related discrepancies.
Verification of security-related events and financial data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and market standards.
Liaison with external data vendors and market sources to validate information and address data inconsistencies.
Identification and reporting of potential process risks, actively contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Participation in preparations for internal and external audits related to reference data management.
Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of procedures and data changes.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in financial services, accounting, or operations, preferably with exposure to securities or reference data.
Bachelor's/Master's degree or currently pursuing higher education in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proficient in spoken and written English at C1 level.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, even when handling high volumes of information.
Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with frequent cut-offs and SLAs.
Strong analytical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of various financial instruments (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives) is a strong advantage.
Experience with financial data systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration across diverse teams and geographical locations.
