Job Overview

The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End System Analysis and Solution Implementation:Responsible for analyzing complex system logic, identifying problems, defining necessary enhancements, and implementing effective solutions to meet business goals.

• Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership:Partners with multiple technology teams, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and management to ensure the appropriate integration of functions and to determine and document system impacts and support requirements.

• Advanced Problem-Solving and Requirements Definition:Formulates and defines the scope and objectives for high-impact application enhancements and problem resolutions through in-depth analysis of complex business processes, systems, and industry standards.

• Proactive Risk and Security Management:Identifies risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, communicates their impact, and proposes mitigation options while ensuring all business decisions align with the firm's policies and regulatory requirements.

• Influential Communication and Diplomacy:Uses strong and comprehensive communication skills to guide, persuade, and influence colleagues, management, and occasionally external customers to achieve strategic objectives.

• Driving Business Impact and Strategic Counsel:Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through expert advice and counsel on the application and implications of technology within the current environment.

• Leadership and Mentorship:Acts as a technical authority and advisor, coaching new or lower-level analysts, allocating work, and providing expertise based on an advanced understanding of application support principles.

• Ethical Conduct and Compliance:Demonstrates unwavering ethical judgment in business practices, driving compliance with all applicable laws and rules, and escalating and managing control issues with transparency to safeguard the firm, its clients, and its assets.

Qualifications:

• Senior Technical Expertise in Data, Cloud, and Systems:Requires 6-10 years of experience with deep knowledge of managing massive datasets (hundreds of billions of files) and a strong understanding of major cloud provider ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Must be proficient with relevant technical tools and systems.

• Strategic Technical Leadership and Vision:Acts as a recognized technical authority, contributing to directional strategy by staying current with industry developments. Utilizes practical problem-solving and strategic thinking to provide expert advice and counsel on technology's application to the business.

• Advanced System Analysis and End-to-End Problem-Solving:Leads requirement gathering efforts for multiple large, complex projects. Performs in-depth analysis of business processes and systems to define scope, identify problems, and implement innovative, end-to-end solutions.

• Influential Collaboration and Communication:Employs demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills to partner with and influence diverse technology teams, product owners, and management, ensuring seamless integration of functions to meet goals.

• Demonstrated Leadership and Team Mentorship:Proven leadership and relationship-building skills are used to serve as an advisor and coach to junior analysts, allocating work and fostering team development in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

• Proactive Risk and Security Management:Responsible for identifying system risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, communicating their impact, and proposing robust mitigation options to safeguard the firm, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.

• Driving Business Impact with Commercial Awareness:Directly influences strategic functional decisions through expert counsel, demonstrating a foundational understanding of business operations and how technology drives overall performance and effectiveness.

• Service-Oriented and Resilient Professional:Maintains a service-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple large-scale development projects simultaneously while upholding the highest ethical and business practice standards.
